Camp Elite is designed to expose Academy and Jr Academy players, boys and girls (ages 8-12), to different practice environments where they will have the chance to improve their technique, learn new skills and enjoy a personalized coaching environment during a period of 5 days.
Daily sessions will focus on the following areas:
1. Fitness for soccer: Drills focused on proper warm up, soccer endurance, range of motion, flexibility and cool down.
2. Techniques: Drills focused on running with the ball (dribbling), passing, instep drives, receiving balls, dribbling fakes, proper technique for heading and delivering crosses.
3. Tactics for 6v6 and 8v8 settings: Game like drills focused on 1v1 defending, roles of first attacker and defender, 2v1 attacking, man-to-man defense and introductions to set plays (corner kicks, direct and indirect kicks).
4. Match Days: small side games and scrimmages that will challenge players to perform against players of the same or greater level
