There will be plenty happening behind the scenes, so be sure to stay connected so you don't miss important updates, volunteer opportunities, and ways to support our team!

Our Vertical Raise fundraiser launches May 26 at the MANDATORY ALL PLAYER & PARENT FOOTBALL MEETING, and the biggest key to success is PREPARATION.

Please work with your player NOW to gather contact information and save it in the Notes app on their phone before launch day.

We strongly encourage collecting CELL PHONE NUMBERS for texting since it is the easiest and fastest way to reach supporters, but EMAIL ADDRESSES are just as important and still very effective.

Goal:
• At least 20-30 contacts saved
• More contacts = better results
• Family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc.
• Real contacts only please

SPONSORS NEEDED: We are also still looking for business sponsors. If you own a business or know someone who may be interested in supporting Dakota Football, please reach out.

🏈Dakota Football Families — We Need Your Support! 5/26/2026 is an IMPORTANT DATE! 🏈

On May 26, we will officially launch our Dakota Football Vertical Raise Fundraiser! This is an important opportunity to help support our program, and we’re excited to get started.

Important!! Please have your player bring 20 email addresses and phone to the meeting!!

Important! If you own a business — or know someone who does — please use the attached flyers or contact Mike Carr at [email protected] to learn more about becoming a sponsor. Once the fundraiser begins, your child will be credited with any business sponsorships secured.

We are also looking for parents who may be willing to help us connect with local businesses and community sponsors. This can be as simple as:

* Passing out flyers
* Asking to meet with managers or owners
* Sharing information about supporting Dakota Football

Again, your child will receive credit for any sponsorships you help secure!

Our goal is to have all sponsors signed up before May 26, so we appreciate any support you can provide in helping us reach out to the community.

🏈 2026/2027 - Dakota Varsity Football Parents — We Need You! 🏈

We’re gearing up for another incredible football season, and one of the most important (and rewarding!) volunteer roles is open — our Varsity Dinner Coordinator.

This role is a big one, but it makes a huge impact on our team. You’d be the point person for:

📞 Reaching out to our amazing local restaurant donors (we already have a list!)
🍽️ Coordinating weekly meals based on what’s donated
📅 Helping plan and organize menus for weekly varsity team dinners and home game tailgates throughout the season

Yes — it’s some work. But it’s also one of the most fulfilling ways to support our boys and be part of the behind-the-scenes magic that keeps them fueled and ready every week 💙

You won’t be starting from scratch — we have a strong donor base that supports us year after year. We just need someone to lead the charge!

So incredibly proud of our Dakota Football Players!

It is truly impressive to see our boys recognized by the Detroit Free Press as part of the 2025 Michigan High School Football All-East Teams.

Competing at this level and earning recognition among the best in the region speaks volumes about their hard work, grit, and dedication.

Appreciation Post!

Tonight was absolutely incredible for our football and cheer teams. A beautiful night to reflect on the season, to celebrate everything these kids accomplished, and to recognize our amazing seniors. What a great night from start to finish.

At the banquet, my name was recognized, and while I’m truly grateful and appreciative for that, I need to say: it took an ARMY. 💙🏈💚 There just isn’t enough space to type all your names here! So many amazing parents!

Coach Baur said it perfectly… we have the best community and the best parents anywhere. And he wasn’t exaggerating for one second. The moms and dads in this program are absolutely top-notch. The amount of time, energy, money, planning, problem-solving, cheering, and pure HEART that you all put into the program is truly priceless.

None of what was accomplished this season, not a single bit, happens without all of YOU. Every volunteer hour, every late-night text, every donation, every setup and clean-up… that’s what makes this program special. That’s what makes this community incredible.

And I have to give a huge, special thank you to STEPHANIE WILLIARD, my ride-or-die. My “we ride at dawn”. She’s not only an incredible friend, mom, and overall human being, but was also such a core part of what kept everything running smoothly. She and her son Emilio were both so integral in this program, and with him graduating this year, we’re going to miss her presence next season more than anything. 💙 Love you!!

To the Varsity Parents and especially the Senior Parents: YOU ARE AMAZING! You will always have a special place in many of our hearts!

And to the Senior Mom and Dad Crew (you know who you are!) The memories and friendships we have made this season will last a lifetime and I’m forever thankful! You all made this season perfect! I cant stop smiling over the love you’ve shown, but also cry a little knowing next year you wont be there next to me! Love you all so very much!!!!!!
