Today we went and wrestled in our first Open tournament of the year at Monett! We took some lumps today but the kids wrestled their butts off and got some wins! The kids brought numerous medals today. I am proud of every single one of you! You guys made Macks Creek proud today! Continue to wrestle hard and good things will happen!

The season is FINALLY here! Tomorrow we will have our first practice of the year! Practices will go from 6:00-7:30 Tuesdays-Thursdays. We are adding two more coaches to our staff and we are all ready and excited as much as you are!

The Fish and Company is so proud to give back to the local schools that support them in the summer time. During the year, they donate $2 per appetizer of Nard Wings (pork wings) that are sold during the summer in memory of their sports loving owner, Nard Sandholm. Dale Blue, along with The Fish and Company, are very excited to donate $1,484 to the Macks Creek Wrestling Club.

Tiaras and Takedowns treated Macks Creek Wrestling Club well over the weekend! We had one Champion and a wrestler had their first win as well! Great jobs to the ladies who competed over the weekend! We are always learning even if it is a tough pill to swallow! Back to work!

We competed at the JC novice tournament on Superbowl Sunday and had another great day of wrestling! Many of us brought home some hardware! This weekend was a lot of “first’s” for us: some of us got our first win, some of us got our first takedown, some of us survived the first period, and some of us didn’t get pinned! You guys are consistently getting better and are always improving day in day out! Keep on working and great things will come!
