Tucked back in the Bookcliff Mountains of northwestern Colorado is where you’ll find your cabin when hunting at the Rafter Y Ranch. Over 10,000 deeded acres surrounded by over 100,000 acres of BLM to explore. It is the ideal location to hunt trophy elk, mule deer, and black bear. Previously a Cabela’s Trophy Hunting Area, the Rafter Y Ranch is a proven breeding ground for some of the largest elk a

nd deer in the state of Colorado.

• Hunts run 5 days, plus one day in and one day out for travel.
• We will provide transportation to and from the airport if that is your desired way of travel.
• Each hunt is guided with no more than 2 hunters per guide. Guides will be traveling by small trucks, jeeps, and side by sides.
• Plenty of opportunity for a great hunt with our many new developments to attract new wildlife.
• A staff cook will provide you with 3 delicious meals per day.
• Single person huts are available as well as multiple person bunk houses; all of which are equipped with comfortable beds and heaters.
• Our bath house includes 2 separate bathrooms with hot showers.
• The Main Cabin is where meals are served and is a social area for evening relaxation.

We had a great 1st rifle season here at the ranch. Tagged out 4 out of 6 of our guys in 24 hours!! Love this group of guys from Kentucky! They come back every year and it’s always a good time! Congrats to Kevin, Dave, Chase and John for getting it done this week. We’ll see ya next year 🦌

August 1st - squirrel
August 20th - archery antelope
September 1st - archery deer, rabbit, dove, rail, snipe, grouse, and raccoon* and possum* (hunt only)
September 4th - early teal
