A great day at the 2026 Spring Games with our Harlem High School Special Olympics team!

So proud of our athletes for the way they competed, encouraged each other, and represented Harlem. Days like this are always a good reminder of why this program matters so much.

Athletes & Families: Please be at Harlem High School around 8:30 to get ready for the opening ceremony.

Join us on April 9th from 4–8 PM at Backyard Grill & Bar for a Harlem Special Olympics fundraiser.

A portion of all sales during that time will go directly to supporting our athletes—helping provide equipment, uniforms, and opportunities to compete and grow.

Stop by for dinner, bring a friend or two, and help us support an awesome group of students doing great things.

Spring Games Are Coming! 🏅🏃‍♂️

Harlem High School Special Olympics is excited to invite our athletes to Spring Games Track & Field this May!

Your athlete can participate in one track event and one field event — including sprints, walks, jumps, and throws!

📅 Registration Deadline: March 18. Permission slips have been placed in teachers' mailboxes.
⚠️ Athletes must be registered through the Special Olympics Illinois Digital Center of Excellence (COE) Portal to participate.

💻 How to Register:
1) Visit: https://portals.specialolympics.org/
2) Create a parent/guardian account
3) Select Region A → Harlem High School
4) Add your athlete & complete the checklist (Health History Form + Acknowledgment Form)
