In addition to the GRPA state meet we posed about yesterday, the Long Course Age Group State Championship Meet was also this past weekend, this one for year-round swimmers. Two of our Dolphins swimmers Jack Baker and Maven Martin-Phillip performed very well while representing their respective year-round teams. Congrats kids!

Congratulations to our three Dolphins who represented Vinings Estates on the Cobb Team at the GRPA State Meet this weekend! It was each of their first appearances -- of what we hope will be many! -- at this annual swim meet. We are so proud of these kids and how they fiercely represented our community with their talent and technique in the pool!! Please join us in congratulating them!

Results:
Ava Greenwood, age 12, placed 12th in prelims in the 50 Yard Back. Her Medley Relay team finished 2nd in finals.

Decker Arnold, age 8, placed 1st in the 25 Yard Breast, 2nd in the 100 Yard IM, and 1st in the 25 Yard Fly, all in finals. His Medley Relay AND Free Relay teams both finished 1st!

Zander Arnold, age 7, placed 3rd in the 50 Yard Free, 2nd in the 25 Yard Free, and 2nd in the 25 Yard Back, all in finals. His Medley Relay AND Free Relay teams both finished 1st!

Our final day of county competition came to an end today with our 5-8 year olds. These nine children brought the energy and focus today! We are crazy proud of them and their results! Top 10 finishers include:

5-6 Year Olds:

Zander Arnold and Decker Arnold will be representing the VE Dolphins at the GRPA State Swim Meet in July! They join 12-year old Ava Greenwood in this standing. Please join us in congratulating these young athletes!

We are proud and thrilled to announce that after the three-day competition of 47 teams across Cobb County, Vinings Estates boys placed 5th overall and the girls placed 11th overall. Way to go!

Special thanks to Coach Louis and Coach Isabella for spending around 30 hours this weekend supporting and encouraging our children. Special thanks to our coordinator Derek Hardy who organized our team effort and championed our kids. And with THAT, our season officially comes to an end. Way to go Dolphins!!!!

Congratulations to our 14 amazing swimmers who represented us in the 9-12 year old age group competition today. Five Dolphins made it to finals late this afternoon.

Today, our 13-18 year old swimmers competed, which means our coaching staff. Most of them earned Personal Best times during prelims, and ALL of them qualified for and participated in the afternoon finals!
