These anglers have the option to:
• Fish solo, or
• Fish as a 2-person team

🎣 NEWS FOR MHS FISHING 🎣

Our MHS Fishing Team is headed to the THSBA STATE TOURNAMENT with 5 anglers and 3 captains advancing to compete at the highest level! 🏆

This is a 2-day tournament with a full day of pre-fishing, and we want these kids focused on what they do best — competing and representing our community with pride.

We are currently seeking sponsors to help cover expenses like lodging, meals, and fuel. With fuel costs around $4.00 a gallon, these volunteer captains go above and beyond to make this opportunity possible for our anglers.

THEY DID IT!!!

Congratulations to Kannon Hyde, James Porter, Darrell Alldredge, Eli Nutt, and Devon Treywick for officially advancing to the THSBA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! 🎣🏆

These anglers have put in the time, the work, the grind and now they’re headed to LAKE TEXOMA on MAY 30TH to compete against the BEST in the state 💚🖤🤍

This is what it’s all about… early mornings, long days on the water, and chasing those BIG bags!!

Let’s show them some love and wish them luck as they go represent MHS Fishing Team at STATE!!! 💪🔥

Our anglers showed up and showed OUT at the THSBA Regionals, with teams advancing to STATE! 🔥🎣

Eli Nutt & Devon Treywick brought in an impressive 21.53 lbs, earning a 4th place finish!

James Porter & Darrell Alldredge weighed in at 11.83 lbs

Kannon Hyde came in with 10.21 lbs!

Huge congratulations to all of our anglers and captains on a great showing!

Now it’s time to get ready for the THSBA State Tournament; let’s bring in those BIG bags!! 💪🎣

Today wasn’t the best day for fishing, but our MHS Fishing Team showed up and gave it everything they had despite the tough weather conditions.

🎣 Congratulations to the following teams:
• Eli Nutt & Devon Treywick – 5.01 lbs, 46th place
• Brayden Braswell & Landon Pate – 1.63 lbs, 78th place

As a team, MHS placed 23rd overall!!

We currently have 4 teams advancing to regionals and competing at the next level. Once the final regional list is posted, we will make that official announcement—stay tuned!

🚨 Tournament Update 🚨

Sunday’s tournament is still happening, with a few adjustments.

Please continue to check our page and the THSBA page for the latest updates. Stay alert to the weather and always practice safety on the water.

⚠️ WEEKEND WEATHER UPDATE ⚠️

We will still be hosting all three tournaments this weekend at:
📍 Lake Travis
📍 Lake Brownwood
📍 Cedar Creek

Due to incoming weather, we are making the following adjustments for all three tournaments:

⏰ Start Fishing: 6:45 AM
⏰ Stop Fishing: 1:00 PM
⏰ Weigh-In Deadline: All teams must be in line by 2:30 PM

This will allow for 6 hours of fishing while giving everyone the opportunity to get off the water ahead of the main line of storms expected to move in.

Important Reminders:
• Only your best 4 out of 5 tournaments count toward advancement
• Captains should closely monitor weather conditions the day of the event
• You are not required to start at 6:45 AM or fish until 1:00 PM. No matter what all Fishing stops at 1 PM. 
• Teams may adjust their fishing schedule as needed within the allotted time for safety

We’ve seen conditions change throughout the week, so please stay alert and make the best decisions for your team.

This weekend our MHS Anglers and Captains took on the THSBA Richland Chambers Tournament, battling heavy winds and massive waves all day long. It wasn’t easy fishing conditions, but our anglers showed grit and determination on the water! 💚🖤🤍

The MHS Fishing Team brought home an incredible 4TH PLACE TEAM FINISH! 💪🔥

Here’s how our anglers placed individually out of 179 teams:
