⚽ LYP Soccer Update
After much consideration and careful evaluation, LYP leadership has made the difficult decision not to offer a soccer season this year.
As a volunteer-run organization, we must continually evaluate where we can best focus our time and resources to ensure the programs we offer are well organized, sustainable, and provide the quality experience our families deserve. At this time, LYP is not in a position to operate a soccer program.
We understand this news will be disappointing for many families. Fortunately, there are several neighboring organizations that offer excellent soccer focused programs, and we encourage those interested in playing this season to explore those opportunities.
If members of the community are interested in organizing a local soccer program independently of LYP, we would be happy to share what we’ve learned over the years and provide the information and guidance we’ve gathered to help support those efforts. Please note that any independent organization would be responsible for meeting all applicable requirements, including obtaining commercial general liability insurance if they wish to use city or school facilities.
