Terry was a Mustang for over 25 years.
He will be missed.

It was a beautiful day at Oak Hills Golf Course yesterday for the annual Lyons Mustangs golf outing. ⛳️
The weather was great, and the after golf gathering was wonderful.

As much as the Mustangs love getting donations from our sponsors and supporters, we don't think this was an intentional donation.
This was found at the Clubhouse as we were cleaning up after our event.

The Lyons Mustangs would like to take this moment to send our prayers and condolences to the Getty family on the loss of Ken Getty.

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of former Mayor Kenneth K. Getty. Ken was a remarkable individual who left a lasting mark on the Village of Lyons.

As a former Mayor and Trustee, Ken was a steadfast leader and a dedicated public servant. He was a passionate volunteer and a cherished member of our community, having called Lyons home for over 60 years. In recent years, he continued his commitment to the Village by serving as Chairman of both the Lyons Zoning Board of Appeals and the Lyons Retirees.

Please join us in keeping the Getty family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Memorial services to celebrate Ken’s life:

VISITATION: Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, service at 7:00 PM, at Tower Home for Funerals, 4007 Joliet Ave., Lyons, IL 60534.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John's United Church of Christ, 4500 Prescott Ave., Lyons, IL 60534.

INTERMENT: Mount Auburn Cemetery, Stickney, IL, immediately following the funeral service.
