“No pride for some of us, without liberation for all of us”
~Marsha P. Johnson
As we enter pride month, don’t forget that there are currently 700+ federal and state level active bills and policies targeting our LGBTQIA+ community.
Community-based organizations and research institutions are experiencing funding cuts.
Athletes are being banned from participating in sports across all levels.
Pide is a day of lifting, love, community, and pride, which is more important now than ever.
Lift for Pride is also a fundraising event, supporting two powerful yet smaller BIPOC trans-led community organizations:
1. The Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC), an advocacy, education, and community leadership organization that works to ensure the well-being, safety, and lived equity of all trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive community members in Massachusetts
2. Trans Resistance, a transgender advocacy organization located in Boston, MA. We promote the safety, joy, and liberation of Trans, Q***r, Black, and Indigenous People of Color (TQBIPOC) and host an annual March & Festival in June that honors the authentic origins of Pride.
We invite you to join us on June 13th at for a morning of sport, community, love and pride while providing support to and
Link to lift, volunteer, and/or donate in bio.
Share widely and can’t wait to see to June 13th!
