The North Shore Women's Rugby Club (NSWRC), located north of Boston, was created in the Fall of 2004 and is currently in Division III of the New England Rugby Football Union. NSWR was originally formed as an extension of the North Shore Men’s Rugby Club, with the intent of creating an environment for veteran and new players alike to learn and love the sport of rugby. North Shore Women’s Rugby Club

is dedicated to the sport of rugby and to the development of players regardless of experience. Our commitment is to teach our players how to play, be a part of a team, and to never forget to enjoy the game. We have developed a selection process that reflects this commitment, and we firmly believe in creating a comfortable team atmosphere for anyone who wishes to play. Our team is a group of dedicated and energetic women who love to get out on the pitch and enjoy the uniqueness of the game week after week. We have a mix of young professionals, college students and a few moms who haven’t decided to hang up their boots yet! NSWR has some women who grew up playing sports in high school and college but not necessarily rugby, and some who just came out to see what all the hype was about. A few important reminders:
💙 Registration is required to participate in practices and matches
📅 CIPP registration is completed once each year
💵 The current registration cost is $109
Make sure you select North Shore Rugby — New England, Senior Club Council

We covered a LOT at our Annual General Meeting this weekend — fall schedule, CIPP reminders, membership, upcoming events, fundraising and more!

Meet Our Guest Coach: Madeleine Bullen, NERRS Official

Madeleine is an active match official with the New England Rugby Referees Society (NERRS) and currently serves as the organization’s Digital Chair. She is also an Assistant Referee in Women’s Elite Rugby (WER), bringing experience from the highest level of professional women’s rugby in the United States.

During the MasterClass, Madeleine will lead our Laws of the Game session, giving players a unique opportunity to learn how referees interpret the laws. Whether you’re new to rugby or a veteran player, understanding the game from an official’s perspective can make you a smarter, more effective player.

Please join us in welcoming Madeleine to North Shore Rugby! 👏
