The North Shore Women's Rugby Club (NSWRC), located north of Boston, was created in the Fall of 2004 and is currently in Division III of the New England Rugby Football Union. NSWR was originally formed as an extension of the North Shore Men’s Rugby Club, with the intent of creating an environment for veteran and new players alike to learn and love the sport of rugby. is dedicated to the sport of rugby and to the development of players regardless of experience. Our commitment is to teach our players how to play, be a part of a team, and to never forget to enjoy the game. We have developed a selection process that reflects this commitment, and we firmly believe in creating a comfortable team atmosphere for anyone who wishes to play. Our team is a group of dedicated and energetic women who love to get out on the pitch and enjoy the uniqueness of the game week after week. We have a mix of young professionals, college students and a few moms who haven’t decided to hang up their boots yet! NSWR has some women who grew up playing sports in high school and college but not necessarily rugby, and some who just came out to see what all the hype was about.
