Obituary of Bill Valinus

William T. "Bill" Valinus

Hamlin: Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, on Monday August 8, 2022, at the age of 71. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary Valinus. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jan, his daughters Jenny (Jeff) Sikora, Lori (Jonathan) Kiefer and Katie (Peter) Caprariello, grandchildren Olivia, Elena, Ashton and Sophia, twin sister Ann Marie Ackerman, and many loving extended family and dear friends.

Bill retired as a Civil Engineer with the NYS DOT after 33 years. He was a volunteer EMT with the Hamlin Ambulance Corps for 15 years. Most importantly, and his greatest joy, was spending time with his family.

Family and friends may call on Friday August 12th from 4-8 pm at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Ave., Brockport. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday August 13th at 10 am in St. Leo Church, 110 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton, NY 14468. Those wishing may contribute to the American Cancer Society in Bill’s memory.
