Lyndon Outing Club

Lyndon Outing Club All season outdoor recreation spot featuring ski/ride when natural snow conditions permit, hiking, biking, skate park, and lodge rental.

We are a volunteer run non-profit committed to offering quality, affordable four season recreation. The Lyndon Outing Club was founded in 1937. The LOC offers affordable, family friendly skiing, snowboarding and outdoor fun, with the only night ski/ride in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Located in Shonyo Park, we also offer hiking, a skate park and newly installed mountain bike skills park and trails. C'mon up, we'll see you on the hill.

Please heed the rules.

Please heed the rules.

We know everyone is fired up, especially after another 12-16" last night, but everyone needs to engage with more thoughtfulness. We are winching on the Jet, working the Montrealer, and visibility is extremely limited. There is absolutely no Uphill Travel, and it should go without saying – downhill, traffic allowed on Stateside.

The only approved Uphill Travell Route right now is Ullr's Dream. If you head up, stay well within bounds and stay entirely on Tramside. Do not choose a descent that returns you to Stateside. With snowmaking all over the Stateside base area, winch cables, grooming equipment and no Ski Patrol on the mountain, this is not the time to explore or improvise.

It only takes a few people ignoring the rules to shut things down for everyone. Stick to Ullr's, stay smart, and help keep things moving in the right direction.

This year, we're adding an exciting new race on our fantastic mountain bike course.

Allow us to introduce the Spicy Twicy! Two enduro style laps, fun times, with chili and brews to follow! This race gallens right before the chili fest, and you get into both for the price of the race.

Categories for adults and kids, this is going to be a great little race, and we'd love to see you.

Tomorrow! Come join us outside at 11 am to celebrate the opening of our brand new uphill mountain biking trail. Now you can access our fun downhill trail without pushing your bike up the face 🚴🚵🎈🎈

We'll have some fun activities, and bring your bike or hiking shoes to explore. Thanks to Blake for building this incredible trail.

We're also looking for volunteers to help maintain the trails!

Hello friends, voting is now open for Coins for the Community. We hope you will consider a vote and a share. As you know, we are continuing on the path forward to snowmaking so that we can offer a full ski season without any breaks. Fundraising is in full effect for this effort and we won't stop until we get there.

It was great to be able to open the season and bring back some of our favorites, the Chili Fest and Torchlight parade. So many people new to the hill got a chance to enjoy what there is to offer and it was great to see so many of our LOC family return. We want to continue helping people make great memories, and every penny helps.

Please consider a vote for us and while you are at it vote for so many of the other valuable Community Services. Please spread the word, voting only happens for a short time. Thank you for your support.

Our Story

The Lyndon Outing Club was founded in 1937. The LOC offers affordable, family friendly skiing, snowboarding and outdoor fun, with the only night ski/ride in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Local fitness groups use our hill weekly and we maintain a mowed hiking trail. The grounds features a cement skate park featuring a bowl, kickers and grind rails. Northern VT University is now partnering with us to use the hill as classroom space and we have begun offering Wilderness First Aid courses.

Our Board of Directors, all volunteer, works closely with the Town of Lyndon to ensure ongoing, smooth operation of all LOC functions year round. LOC continues to expand its four season offerings and welcomes community input for new and creative ideas. C'mon up, we'll see you on the hill.
