Hello LDC Families!

Lyndhurst Dads' Club is excited to again be offering Fall Ball 2026! This is one of the only intentionally designed rec-level fall ball leagues in the area. To be clear, this is NOT designed as a fall ball feeder league to travel teams, but rather as a Sandlot-style chance for kids to get together and play the game that they love.

~48 spots are open at each of the 7 & 8U (coach pitch); 9U & 10U (kid pitch); and 11U, 12U, & 13U (kid pitch) levels to get together and have teams competing against one another. We will also offer a 14U - 18U registration group and a softball group for similar ages to baseball, but the season will depend on whether or not coaches are available. We need coaches at all age levels, particularly at the 14U - 18U level and softball ages.

Registration through this link: https://www.lyndhurstdadsclub.com/Default.aspx?tabid=465001

Playing Days:
- 7 & 8 Year Olds: Sunday Mornings
- 9 & 10 year Olds: Saturday Mornings
- 11, 12, & 13 year olds: Sunday Mornings
- 14 - 18 year olds: TBD based on coach availability
- Softball: TBD based on coach availability

When deciding which team to sign up for, we recommend registering for the league your son/daughter will be playing in NEXT summer.

It promises to be a fun time, a chance to keep the passion going for kids into the fall. Season begins the weekend of September 5th and ends October 24th. It's the only season that will start with shorts and fans and end with parkas and fire pits.

Cost is $125, including hat and jersey.

Hello Lyndhurst Baseball & Softball Families,

We're excited to announce our intention to host Lyndhurst Fall Baseball & Softball this year for all age groups, from Mighty Mites through C**t!

Before we can officially launch the season, we need your help.

Our ability to offer fall baseball depends on having enough parent volunteers willing to coach and help organize teams. If we have the volunteers, we'll build the teams. If we have the teams, we'll play ball!

Fall baseball is intentionally different from the summer season. The focus is simple:

Keep kids playing the game they love.
Give players more repetitions in the field, on the mound, and at the plate.
Create a fun, relaxed environment where players can continue developing their skills while enjoying time with their friends.
Games will be played on either Saturdays or Sundays. Based on registration numbers at each age level, we'll form teams that will compete in informal weekend games. Games will be played with parent/coach umpires, reinforcing that the emphasis is on player development, sportsmanship, and having fun, not intense competition.

If you're looking for a highly competitive fall baseball league, this probably isn't the right fit. But if you're looking for an opportunity for your child to get more reps, continue improving, and simply enjoy playing baseball or softball with friends, we've found that this format has been a tremendous success. We've offered fall ball in previous years, and the kids have had an absolute blast.

Interested in Helping?
I'm looking for parents who are willing to take on a leadership role by coaching a team or helping organize the season. I'll be hosting a Fall Baseball Planning Call this Friday evening to discuss the season, answer questions, and begin organizing teams and communication with anyone interested in helping to lead and organize the season. If you're interested in coaching or helping organize fall baseball this year, please use the link below to let us know you're interested:

Volunteer Interest Form

For those interested in a leadership role, I will send out the Zoom link to the contact information on the form.

Registration Timeline
A formal registration link, including league details and costs, will be emailed and posted to the website on Monday, August 10.

Registration will remain open through Wednesday, August 26.

If we have enough players and volunteers at each age level, we'll finalize teams and get the season underway.

Tentative Season Schedule
The fall season is expected to run from Labor Day Weekend through the weekend before Halloween, weather permitting.

We hope you'll consider helping make this another great fall season for our players. Whether you're interested in coaching, organizing, or simply signing your child up to play, we appreciate your continued support of Lyndhurst Baseball & Softball.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the field this fall!

Sincerely,

Kevin Gladstone
President
