C21 Wins Game 1 In Playoff Semifinal!

Franco Montalto’s first inning single drove in Javy Martin and Nate Medrano-Ortiz, giving them a lead that they never relinquished. Javy led the way with 3 hits ,Franco had 2, while Nate, Gio Montalto, Breyden Flanagan and Enzo Mena each had one.
Ice! Ice! Breyden got the win on the hill, pitching a shutout for 3 2/3. Gio got the final 2 1/3 for the save.
Outfield defense played a big part in the C21 victory. Dom Diguglielmo made an inning ending catch with runners on base in right field, while Javy and Enzo had outfield assists when Cricket hitters tried to stretch singles into doubles.
Cricket pitcher, Nate Musial battled valiantly! He was able to go the distance by slowing down multiple rallys
In the final inning, Cricket scored 3 runs, putting a scare into Century. With 2 outs and 2 strikes, Karter Thomas was hit by a pitch. Will Garcia, James Gibbons, Musial and Anthony Cafaro all had clutch hits before Gio with the help of the defense was able to put away the game. Final score 7-3.

Game 2 is on Thursday at 6pm.

Our graduating 12 year olds after they ran their last lap around the bases. Congratulations Nathan, Anthony, Ayden, Nick, Tommy, Javi, Antonio and Noah. We hope you cherish your days playing in Lyndhurst Little League.

It is a bitter sweet night when we finish our regular season. We kept the tradition of all coming together to celebrate our 12 year olds as they ran their last lap around the bases. We will miss you all.
