As you all know what I am going through with my past posts. I am participating in the Workout to Conquer Cancer which runs through May 2022 from 1st to 30st, moving your body 30mins a day.

I may try to raise awareness for ovarian cancer which is a Personal goal for me, but with so many different Cancer there are and the research that is involved to find a cure, we need to raise as much money as we can for this.

If you would like to join my team, you can just pop over to my profile and find the link there to team JUNEY'S LOONIES. Have 30 mins of movement however you wish for 31 day, take a picture and tag in for my other Instagram page, as I would love to post as many of them as I can each day.

Hi Everyone,

As you all may have seen that I am going through a roadbump in life, with a health issue. Now I do not want you to get bored, so I am trying to tell you this health journey from a positive (sometime funny entertaining) way, as this also helps me and maybe help anyone else that is going through a health issue like mine.

Now going into this, I work in fitness, so healthy, fit, strong and it all change in a blink of an eye, which you have already seen in past posts. So unexpected to find out that I have Stage 2 ovarian Cancer and already had major surgery. That was the first 4 weeks, then another roadbump with a mass now on my kidney, good news is that I started my chemotherapy journey yesterday, so my fight has started and I hit hard.
Today dealing with side effects from that treatment and so far not to bad. I was told to go easy and mainly keep moving my body, like short walks, moving the body is some way, but the problem I have is that I am still in hospital so can't get out and walk around, so headphones on, upped the music and did a little workout, nothing hard at all. The importance of this is to let the drugs I received yesterday from chemo to circulate around my body to get to all the cells that are currently working against me, as I say 'for the chemo to work it's magic', then it happen, that fun song comes on and you just have to dance.... yes I did not care who saw I just danced and it helped my body and soul.

So I hope you will join me on this journey, which there maybe down days, but hoping mostly positive. I am learning that it is good to be positive and strong but you do not need to be tough through this, learning to cry and show my feeling and leaning of my family supporters I have around me, is what I am finding hard but learn to do.

3 weeks today since major abdominal surgery and back on my rower. This is very light rowing and damper is on #1, stroke rate for 500m is just over 4 mins. Listening to my body and taking baby steps, as I have to be strong for my chemotherapy next.

I am on an unexpected journey, as the last 2 weeks has been a bit of a life changer.
After having emergency surgery, (and before this I had no symptoms), I had a 10cm + tumor removed, plus a full hysterectomy and the prognosis is Chemotherapy. I was giving the best advice by my surgeon, that this is not a death sentence, but time to reset your body. The best part about this is I am fit, strong and I can fight this, maybe a bit of a different journey than I planned to start 2022.

Remember to be an advocate for your own body and health, as no one else is going to look after it. 😃

Saying goodbye to 19 months of my online fitness classes was not an easy decision for me, as I manage to bring together a small community and we each helped each other through this pandemic that we all have been living, supporting each other for not only our physical health, but also mental health, which is just as important.

It's a ME time, even though up early for work and still have more fitness classes to teach today, I just need time for my workout as I have not been consistent over the past months. So it was time to turn up the music and row. I did 5000m, first time I have done this distance in months and felt so good.
