We are happy to share that the Kulshan Ridge Pony Club Show Team had another incredibly successful weekend at the Show Jumping rally this weekend in Enumclaw. Our team achieved 1st place for the entire rally overall score and one of our riders won her division for the 2nd time! All of our riders performed beautifully and it was a pleasure to see their hard work and dedication pay off so well. Thank you for your continued support of our team and their achievements.

Equine and Canine Professionals:

We are offering lease space at our beautiful facility in Lynden, WA for professional business owners specializing in horse training and sales, as well as canine professionals focused on grooming and training services.

Our facility provides a comprehensive suite of amenities designed to support your business operations, including access to our vet clinic equipped with, stocks, heat and hot water. Additionally, professionals will have full use of our premium training grounds, which include a covered riding arena, an outdoor arena, a professional-grade show jumping course, a round pen, a cross-country schooling course, and a trail desensitizing course.

First, I want to share some exciting news and offer a huge congratulations to four of our Show Team riders for placing 1st through 4th Overall at a Dressage show this past weekend in Lake Washington. We are so proud of your hard work and performance—great job, ladies!

Regarding our upcoming schedule, please note that the riding academy memberships are officially full for the summer. We have now started a waitlist for those interested in memberships for the fall season. However, we still have available spots in our July summer camp for riders aged 4-17. This is an excellent opportunity for older students who are currently preparing for their "C" level certifications.

Looking ahead to September, we will have a few daytime (before 5) openings for adults or home-school riders. Specifically, we have a Monday slot available for one rider under 140 pounds, as well as openings on Mondays, Fridays, or Saturdays for an intermediate rider over 14 or a haul-in horse owner.

Additionally, our Community Riding sessions remain open on select Saturdays and are available to book directly through our online system.

Dear Friends and Clients,

Today marks the four-year anniversary of Meridian Equestrian Center (MEC). Our loyal community is the backbone of our success, and we are incredibly proud of how far we have come together. While the past four years brought unexpected trials, today is an opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and the people who made them possible.

We offer a special thank you to Dr. Mike Anderson, Suzy Huizenga from Twin Maples Farm, and the many others who have supported us since the beginning.

We founded MEC to create a unique haven for both horses and people. Our mission remains centered on being an educational hub that promotes equine welfare and develops the next generation of riders. With four generations of our family actively working at the farm, we have intentionally built a culture rooted in kindness. Having lived and taught at various facilities across California, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware over the last 25 years, we have worked to bring the very best practices to this peaceful PNW environment, back to our hometown of Lynden, WA.

Our journey began five years ago with the creation of North Cascades Equus (NCE) in Ferndale as a small teaching business. A year later, we purchased this property. NCE started with just one lesson horse, KC, soon followed by Mya and Diamond. Today, we are proud to be the home of 29 horses, four barn cats, and a small flock of chickens and ducks—each unique and special to our farm.

As many of you know, this property has long been a local icon in Lynden, previously mostly known as Free Wind Farm. When we moved in, the house was in need of a new roof and a remodel and the grounds required significant refurbishment. It has been a massive undertaking, but over the last four years, we have transformed the center into the vibrant facility you see today and the home of the Kulshan Ridge Pony Club Riding Center.

Thank you for being part of our story and for helping us make MEC a place of peace and joy for every person and animal who steps foot onto the property.
