Day 3 updates from Adidas nationals, girls 4x1 Finished 42 overall with a time of 50.79. Mikayla Okuley finished the girls 400 today with a new PR of 58.37, she finished 24 today!

As we round out the track and field season, the athletes from Brookville high school are competing at the Adidas Track Nationals in Greensboro, NC. Here are the results from day 2.

Kaelen Tucker advances to the finals in the national elite division of the girls 100m dash, with 11.91.

Mikayla Okuley won the girls pole vault in the national elite division with a vault of 12-5.50!

Day 3 starts with Kacee Pannell in the girls high jump as well as the girls 4x100 (Paris, Shaylin, Carmen, Kaelen)running at 8:30 am.

Outdoor track and field banquet will be this Sunday starting at 4 pm in the cafeteria.

9 & 10 graders will bring side dishes

11 graders will bring drinks

8 and 12 graders (congratulations graduates) will desserts

Day 2 of the VHSL meet has concluded and we have another state champion! Kaelen Tucker won the girls 100m dash with a time of 12.04. Kaelen also finished third in the girls 200 m dash with a 25.47. Mikayla Okuley finished second in the girls 400m dash running 59.05(new PB). The girls 4x200 meter also placed 6th with a time of 49.93.

On the boys side Keyshaun Witcher finished 8th in long jump, his best mark was 21-3.25. Nicholas Smith also placed 7th in pole vault with a jump of 13-6 and Hunter Driskill making his first state appearance placing 18th with a jump of 11-6.

Boys team placed 19th overall and the girls team placed 4th overall.

Day 1 of VHSL state track meet has concluded. Brookville finished with one state champion, Mikayla Okuley in pole vault (12-0, season best), runner up in high jump, Keyshaun Witcher (6-3, personal best). Pharrell finished 19 in the 100 with a 11.19. Kaelen Tucker advances in both the 100 and 200 tomorrow with a 12.02 and 24.80 respectively. Lilliana Camilleri finished 16 in girls discs with a throw of 85-10!
