Central Virginia United Soccer Club We are a nonprofit, educational organization that fosters the physical, mental, and emotional growth and development of participants at all levels.

Our Travel Program (highest level of play - competitive) competes primarily in the Club Champions League (CCL) Champions division Additional Classic Level Travel Teams are placed in the appropriate Classic Division (Skyline or CCL) as determined by the CVU Director of Coaching. In some cases, a top level Travel Team(s) may play in the Virginia Soccer League (VSLI) if a higher level of competition

is available. The Travel Program begins at the U11 age group through U18 or U19 in some cases, for both Boys and Girls. The Travel Program is run by the full time CVU Director or Coaching. CVU Travel Players have become the top school players in Central Virginia...

We also offer an Academy Program at the U9 & U10 age groups for Boys & Girls. The Academy Level Program is a mid-level program designed to properly prepare players technically for the highest level program (Travel). This is done through "travel level" training and competitive (but fun), festival play in our region of the state. The Academy Program is run by the full time CVU Technical Director. We also offer our grassroots Developmental Recreation Soccer Program for youths ages 4 1/2 to 17. The focus of the "REC" Program is to develop a love for the game, have fun and learn the basics... Like all recreational soccer programs, the "REC" Program is coached by volunteer coaches, while the program itself is managed by the professional soccer staff at CVU.

Come cheer on the USA as they take on Australia on the big screen and enjoy an afternoon of soccer, community, and fun along the riverfront.

Join us this summer for a fun, high-energy soccer camp designed for players ages 6–10!

Led by Coach Christie Cebul, this four-night camp will give young players the chance to build skills, stay active, make new friends, and enjoy the game in a positive and encouraging environment.

Each night, players will rotate through skill-based stations before finishing with scrimmages and a fun closing activity.

⚽ Fall 2026 CVU Academy Registration is Open!

CVU Academy is back for another season of growth with Academy Director Jake Jennings!

Designed for U8–U10 players, the Academy provides a fun, structured bridge between recreation soccer and travel-level play, with a focus on technical skills, confidence, teamwork, creativity, and long-term development.

📅 Season: August 18–October 31
🗓️ Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6–7:15 p.m.
📍 Location: CVU Complex
👧👦 Ages: Birth dates 8/1/2016–7/31/2019

⚽ Technical Training Day/Supplemental Tryout ⚽

Join CVU on Saturday, June 20, for a fun and focused Technical Training/Supplemental Tryout Day at the CVU Complex!

This FREE session is open to all players — current CVU players, players interested in learning more about CVU, and anyone looking to sharpen their technical skills in a high-quality training environment.

Led by CVU Executive Director Landon Moore, the session will focus on individual technical development, confidence on the ball, and overall game understanding. Players will have the opportunity to train, compete, and be evaluated in a positive, development-focused setting.

After training, players are invited to enjoy popsicles and pizza and stick around for a World Cup watch party with the CVU community! 🌎🏆
