I hand walked her, let her in the rd pen, watched as she seemed to have contractions, after 5-6 hrs of this, I realized mares will wait until you take a potty break to lay down and have foals. So I cleaned & filled her stall with fresh big shavings and straw, and went into house. So tired from baby watch and vowed to find a stall camera that works in metal barn, fell asleep! No baby before sunrise this morning. Braxton Hicks contractions? That 10 days before birth where the baby moves into position? It’s going to be a longgggg 10 days for the mare and me! Setting up a cot in the barn for me!!!!
