Make downtown lynbrook for people. Downtown Lynbrook needs a destination. How about a public plaza on Stauderman Ave open to people (not cars)?

Picture it: 2024 in Downtown Lynbrook. You walk downtown to Stauderman Avenue (right by ) and sit down in the new public plaza. The road is open to
Pedestrians and bicycles only. The sun is shining down, you can hear the wind rush through the native trees in planter boxes that close the street to cars, and you look up at a bright mural on the side of the commercial building. After a chat with your friend in the plaza you decide to sit outside for lunch at the new outdoor dining areas.

Doesn’t our community deserve a place to meet up safely, enjoy a meal outside, and walk and bicycle safely to our favorite local places?
