Game Day!

The Redbirds are proud to unveil our new scoreboard, dedicated to the memory of Joe and Bea Burns.

Joe had baseball in his blood, he was always there for Little League and high school games, and never missed a game when his son went on to play four years at South Dakota State. Years earlier, alongside families like the Hendricks, Golla's, Bot's, and Juhl's, Joe helped build the very Little League fields we play on today.

After Joe passed away at just 57, his family wanted to honor his legacy. A conversation with the Luverne Baseball Association led to the idea for a new scoreboard top be born. Possibly the best one in the upper Midwest!

Huge thanks to Tom, Becky, Tim, and Jean for making this happen. Every game under these lights now carries forward Joe and Bea's legacy.

EDIT: scoreboard dedication will take place at 7 PM before the start of the game.
All of our youth, baseball players and families are encouraged to attend the game on Friday! Players wearing their uniform jersey will receive a free hotdog and chips from the concession stand. Following the Redbirds game, we will take a full group picture of all of the youth ball players with our Luverne Redbirds and players will have a chance to run the bases.

Just a reminder, there is a gate fee at the game tonight to help offset all of the fun activities as well as the band- $10/ adult, $5/students,  kindergarten age and under are free
