Most people hear “engage your core” and immediately think they’re supposed to smash their lower back into the floor, hold their breath, and hope that means something is working. But that’s not deep‑core engagement, that’s just tension layered on top of more tension.

When your deep core is actually doing its job, it’s not forcing anything. It’s about bringing your ribcage and pelvis into alignment so your diaphragm, TVA, and pelvic floor can communicate. When those pieces line up, your core becomes stronger, more responsive, and way better at supporting you through pregnancy, postpartum, lifting your kids, running errands, and everything else your day throws at you.

The wild part is that most people don’t realize how different it feels until they experience it!

Proper alignment is key in eliminating pelvic floor symptoms, healing your core postpartum, and building lasting strength.

Comment CORE and I’ll send you a free week of deep core workouts so you can feel the difference for yourself!

I was young, naive, and never even considered my first birth experience would go the way it did.

I made ALOT of mistakes, even after my 6 week appointment. I'm here to share them with you in the hopes you can avoid them!

While I would never want to live that experience again, I can say I am thankful for everything that has come from it. 💜

I want to tell you something nobody told me for a long time:

Your pelvic floor can be dysfunctional without being weak.

The entire conversation around pelvic floor health defaults to "you need to strengthen it." Kegels. More kegels. Squeeze. Hold. Repeat. 🤦🏽‍♀️

But for a significant number of postpartum women, the pelvic floor isn't weak, its stuck in a defensive state. It's been holding tension since delivery and doesn't know how to let go.

For those women, kegels are like tightening a rope until it's ready to snap.

If you've been diligent about pelvic floor work but are still dealing with pain, urgency, tightness, or difficulty emptying your bladder/bowels, this might be why.

Swipe through to learn what a hypertonic pelvic floor actually is, how to recognize it, and what your body actually needs to heal.

This is one of the most under-discussed topics in postpartum care. Save it. Share it. Pass it along to someone who's been doing kegels for months and still not finding relief. 💜

Prolapse does not mean you're done.

I need you to hear that clearly because the messaging most women receive after a prolapse diagnosis is so centered on restriction that they leave feeling like their body is permanently off-limits to them.

You can still lift. You can still run. You can still be strong, athletic, and fully present in your body.

What changes is how you get there.

Proper breathing mechanics, pressure management, progressive loading — these aren't limitations. They're tools. And the women who build their training on this foundation become more body-aware, resilient, and more capable than they were before they had this information!

I'll be honest, prolapse requires intentional management. You will have to do somethings differently, especially in more severe cases. But that doesn't mean you quit.

Swipe through to understand what prolapse actually does to your training, what to avoid and why, and what a real return to performance looks like.

You are capable of more than this. Let's get you there. 🔥

If you wake up with a flat stomach and go to bed looking 6 months pregnant… your pelvic floor might be the missing piece.
Here's what's actually happening 👇
Your pelvic floor is the base of your core. When it's not functioning well, especially postpartum, it can't properly support your abdominal organs as the day goes on and gravity does its thing.
Add in any intra-abdominal pressure dysfunction (hello, diastasis recti) and your core has no choice but to let everything push forward.
It's a pressure management problem.
And the good news? It's fixable. But crunches and planks aren't the answer, and in a lot of cases, they make it worse if you can't properly manage pressure.
If this is you, your body is not broken. It's just asking for the right kind of support.

This doesn't have to be just "part of having kids."

Can we talk about the workouts you've stopped doing?

Not because you lost motivation. Not because you got lazy. But because at some point you figured out which movements caused leaking and you just started avoiding them.

I hear this from women all the time. And what breaks my heart is that most of them have never told anyone; Not their OB, not their trainer, not their partner. They just suffered in silence.

Leaking during exercise is not a permanent side effect of having a baby. It's a sign that your pressure management system — your deep core, your pelvic floor, your breath — isn't coordinating the way it should. And that can be fixed.

But it starts with someone telling you that you don't have to live around it.

So consider this that conversation.

Swipe through to understand what's actually causing it and what a real solution looks like, not just "do more kegels."

Save this. And if you have a friend who's been quietly modifying her workouts for months, send it to her. 💜

You are not broken.

Maybe it was just HARD.

But I promise you, if you keep showing up in little ways every day, it gets better.
