Morning!
Who’s ready for next week already???
I am so freaking excited to get back to Missouri!
Wanted to go over a few things that have been posted and spoken about on videos. But with all the new entries the last week figured it be a good idea.
Thursday September 10th:
Arrive at Praries Edge located at ( 10035 State Highway AA, Cassville, MO )
Arrive Thursday at your leisure, find your camping spot and get setup for the night. We will have drivers registration starting in the afternoon around 4pm. Remember there is a burn ban in effect, make cooking adjustments as needed.
Working on having live music and a great atmosphere for the night. Everyone can show off the new upgrades and have a nice chill evening before we set off Friday morning.
Friday September 11th:
Drivers meeting at 9am, one hour of registration starting at 8am for those who will come in Friday morning.
We will stage everyone this event. And there will be a run order. We will have Red, Yellow and Green flags. You will be ask to line up in what ever group you are running after the meeting.
We will turn the sxs’s loose first as they will have a quicker pace of completion, followed by red, yellow and green. This should help keep things moving faster and more efficiently. And keep people from getting confused on who to follow and what color they may be running.
At Praries Edge, this is where the water fall climb is ( Yellow and Red ) and we will have Central Photography Co. setup there capturing the moment you embark on the climb. I encourage you to get with Garret and let him know you would like a print of this photo. Absolutely epic opportunity for a life long memory to be captured.
When done, you will pack up and head towards TexPlex At Fox Creek Park Off Road Park.
Saturday September 12th:
As you wake up from your first night of the event you will have the day at leisure. I have yet to nail down a group event in Branson ( hard to find something for 100 rigs ) but I am still working on it. That evening somewhere around 5pm we will have a drivers meeting at Texplex. We then will stage you again and turn you loose in the same order. As you drop into Texplex it will quickly transition into dusk and eventually darkness. Can’t stress lighting enough here. Expect 4-5 hours for completion. That will leave you with a choice. Pack up and head to SMORR or stay another night and get up crack of dawn and head out to make the drivers meeting the next morning.
Sunday September 13th.
After a long night. We will have a drivers meeting around 8am. Smorr is going to be a true test of grit and your machine. As you wrap up your trails here we will have an awards ceremony at the pavilion at SMORR around 5pm. Here we will be giving away all of the raffle items and completion prizes for turning in all three tokens and Polaroid.
Remember, we will have a random picture spot this year on the drive. To ensure you are driving your rig from park to park and not trailering. For the spirt of the event, after all this is King of the Off road not King of the trailer. You must turn in all three tokens and Polaroid to claim your Off Road Trail Soda pack.
Remember, the buddy system we talked about in months past. We mean it. Find a group and stick with them for the event. If you see someone running solo or a small group, invite them to your group. We are a big family here, we are a team and we will not leave anyone behind !
You need one winch minimum per group.
Hope everyone is scrambling to finish last minute things like we are, but if you were packed and ready to go this far out, would it even be an adventure? There are always last min ideas!
