The Niobrara County Fair Board is looking for a couple of volunteers to take over the entering and planning of the Fair Gymkhana. The Fair Board will be available to help, however, they just don’t have the time to plan the entire thing. The gymkhana is always the Sunday before fair starts, and is tentatively scheduled next year for July 26, 2026. Jessie has spreadsheets and entry forms she can share with the volunteer and she’s willing to help you along the way for the first couple of years. We’d like to have someone in place by January 1st. The buckles are here!!! And I must say, Molly’s Custom knocks it out of the park every time!!! I even got to hand 4 out to local kiddos yesterday!!

We had a very hot, but very productive day at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds! 90 kids came together to put on one heck of a gymkhana! Below are the winners:

DRAW and FAQs
- NO dress code
- Jr. Team Ropers can rope with an adult
- Sr. Team Ropers must rope with another contestant
- Peewee Goat Tiers sn**ch the ribbon, Jr & Sr tie the legs
- Lead Line contestants can win money, but won't get points toward the all-around
- We found breakaway claves!!
- Roping events will be a barrel roping
- If no one catches or rides the first time in the roping and steer riding events, we will NOT rerun the steers and calves. It is supposed to be VERY hot, and there are a lot of events and 96 kids to get through.
- Boys and girls will all run together, but all-around points will be figured separately.
