Miocene Epic Endurance Challenge

Miocene Epic Endurance Challenge A unique new trail running event in Calvert County, Maryland on the western shore of the Chesapeake

The Miocene Epic Endurance Challenge is a brand new trail race on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Calvert County, Maryland. The event will take place at Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby, Maryland. The race consists of a 5 mile loop where runners will have up to 6 hours to run as much or as little as they would like. All runners will receive a Miocene Epic pint glass and post-run barbeque. Ru

nners will have the option at registration checkout to enter the Challenge Division. At registration checkout, you will have the option to pay $10 to join the Challenge Division. In the Challenge Division, runners will begin each loop at the top of the hour. Upon completing each loop, your finishing position for that loop earns you points (ex: 1st=1 point, 2nd=2 points, 3rd=3 points, and so on). Regardless of how fast you finish each loop, you will wait until the top of the hour to run the next loop. At the end of 6 loops, your final finish position is determined by your total points earned, with the lower number of points being better (think cross country scoring)! Challenge Division participants will be eligible for overall prizes based on final finishing position at the end of 6 loops.
