Volleyball Recap: Mt. Carmel Christian Academy Warriors vs. Grace Christian Warriors

Mt. Carmel Christian Academy earned a 3-1 victory over Grace Christian on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Mt. Carmel Christian Academy.

While Mt. Carmel Christian Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Grace Christian scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final set scores came out to 25-20, 25-18, 18-25, 25-18.

Mt. Carmel Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rebekah Shifflett led the charge by getting eight kills, seven digs, four aces, and two solo blocks. Amelia Pierce was another key player, getting 14 digs and two solo blocks.

Mt. Carmel Christian Academy has now won 10 of their last 11 games at home. That gives them a 5-2 record this season. As for Grace Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mt. Carmel Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Regents at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Come out to campus and catch our volleyball teams in action, with the first game starting at 5:30 PM! 🍕 Come hungry—we’ll have pizza in concessions!

Our Cross Country runners are also hitting the course for their FIRST race of the season!
