Peyton took yet another one of our riders to their first show, and the Golden Boy never ceases to amaze us! Jules gave him solid rides and boy did they shine!

The weekend is off to a great start with some beautiful jumps! Lennon & Emmett got some serious air time, Kayce & Desi turned in a beautiful smooth course, and Emily & Saint enjoyed a Friday night sunset lesson 💚

It was a cold 🥶 but successful start to the 2026 show season at SCHJA Palmetto Finals to round out our year! We managed not to freeze and pulled off some great riding and ribbons in great company!

❄️ Wendy & Jerry turned in some of their most consistent rounds together in the Hopeful Jumpers, taking some good ribbons in stacked competition!
❄️ Loralei & Buster moved up to Walk Trot Canter in winning style with a Champion and equitation win!
❄️ Giana attended her first ever horse show with the help of our resident crossrails professional, Peyton. They earned excellent ribbons including a 3rd in the equitation and 3rd in the Hunter Classic!
❄️ Grace & Carlo had a banner weekend earning Champion in the Adult Equitation, Champion in the Progressive Jumpers, winning the Jumper Classic, 6th in the Adult Medal Final, and being named Best Adult Amateur Rider!
❄️ Lennon & Emmett moved up to the Limit Hunters with ease and style, earning top ribbons in every class out of some very experienced riders!
❄️ Callie & Apollo put in some excellent riding in the Children’s Hunters, earning great ribbons including a 2nd place out of a super competitive group!

We also attended the SCHJA 2025 banquet on Friday night and picked up some fantastic year-end awards:
🏆 Lennon & Emmett earned Champion in the Long Stirrup Equitation and Reserve Champion Long Stirrup Hunter!!
🏆 Emma H & Fig earned Champion in the Junior/Amateur Jumpers!
🏆 Grace & Carlo earned 3rd in the Adult Equitation!

Congratulations to all our riders and horses, and a huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make Palmetto Finals a great show. We had a wonderful time!

Big congratulations to Grace Hill on being awarded Palmetto Finals Best Adult Amateur Rider! This is a huge accomplishment and I’m so proud of Grace’s excellent riding, sportsmanship, and horsemanship. She had some other major wins this weekend including Champion in the Adult Equitation, Champion in the Progressive Jumpers, and winner of the Jumper Classic. Way to go, Grace! 🏆🐴🩵🥹

Our sweet boy Leo has landed a new home, and we’re so excited for him and his new rider! We’ll also miss him dearly. We bought Leo as a green 5 year old, and he has grown and taught so many riders in our program over the past 7 years. Beginner lessons, pony camp, advanced lessons, winning at the shows, trail riding, being Emma G’s steady partner, and stepping in any time an older student was without a horse of their own, Leo truly became a jack of all trades. He’s certainly earned a cushy life with just one rider and we’re so happy for him!

Leo, buddy, I’m so thankful for your help all of these years. Couldn’t have done it without you! 🤍🤎
