It all starts with the people who call Okemo home. Meet Stephen.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Stephen’s passion for the ski industry started at Tussey Mountain, where he learned to ski and snowboard. After graduating from Penn State University with a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management, he found a community and career he could grow with.

Now in his sixth season, Stephen helps create the welcoming mountain experiences that make guests feel at home year-round — working in the Ski + Ride School in the Winter, and serving as a Lead Attendant for the Adventure Zone in the Summer.

Since joining the team, he has continued to grow professionally; beginning his journey as a supervisor within the Ski + Ride School before earning a promotion to manager in 2023. Through PSIA-AASI, he’s also earned his Level III Alpine certification, and was recently selected to the Eastern Region Alpine Development Team.

Off the mountain, you can find Stephen competing in triathlons and playing disc golf throughout New England. We’re excited to see where his passion for outdoor recreation and the ski industry takes him next!

Looking for a hike with a view? Head to the fire tower at the top of Okemo for panoramic views of the Green mountains. Don't forget your camera - the views deserve a spot on your camera roll. 📸🥾

Not sure which trail to take? Here's a quick guide:
• Bear Climb – Steep, rugged, and rewarding. This strenuous trail winds through forest and ski slopes all the way to the summit.
• Moose Trek – A moderate descent through mixed woods and open areas from the summit.
• Healdville Trail – A moderately challenging hike through forested terrain to a fire tower with epic views.
• Mountain Road – A long, scenic service road with a gentle incline. Easy to moderate and full of vistas.
