Great day of wrestling at the MIAA D3 State Wrestling Championship. The Ludlow Lady Lions stepped it up and won the team title with 4 Champions! This is Ludlow's first team title since 2003. Next weekend All States at the MassMutual Center.

Yesterday our boys competed at the 2026 Rodney Smith Classic. It is always a pleasure to see the legend himself. If you didn't know, he won a bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona making him the only home grown Western Mass Athlete ever to see the podium at the Olympics for wrestling!

Ludlow Lions Wrestling took a trip out to New Hampshire yesterday to compete at the Timberlane Invitational.
-1st Place - Samantha Bertini (3-0)
-2nd Place - Noah Simard (3-1)
-2nd Place - Ella Libiszewski (2-1)
-4th Place - Charles Soffen (4-2)

Ludlow Lady Lions finished 8th out of 42 teams with just 4 athletes competing at the 2026 Senators Cup at Mahar Regional High School.

Great day to be alive and wrestling. Congratulations to everyone that competed today at the 2026 Taconic Invitational. There was a lot of personal growth and as a team we are moving in the right direction.

The Ludlow Lions Girl's squad had a strong showing yesterday at the 2025 Phil Tomkiel Holiday Wrestling tournament. With just 5 girls we won 4th place overall.

1st Place: Ella Libiszewski 114lbs
1st Place and Outstanding Wrestling Award: Samantha Bertini 120 lbs
2nd Place: Ellianna Williams 145 lbs
1st Place: Riley Morais 152 lbs

The Lions brought a thin but strong lineup to the Berkshire Holiday tournament yesterday. Our 9 wrestlers (only 8 scores) came home with:
3rd Place Team Finish out 15 teams, with 6 individuals medaling in the top 4
3 Champs- Ella (113), Charles (120), and Senior Capt Noah (157)
2x 3rd placers- Gio (132) & Andrew (285)

We are excited for what this team can do when we are all together at full strength!

Tomorrow we are 🔥🆙 competing at the Phil Tomkiel tournament featuring a mixed gender and all girls tournament at the same time.

Fired up for a great day to be alive and wrestling!

Our Girls team competing at the Lowell Holidays had a great Day 1, with all 5 wrestlers making it to day 2!
Ella, Samantha, and Riley are all in the Semifinals. Ellianna and Hayden are battling back for 3rd. Overall Ludlow is tied for 3rd.

The boys/mixed team is heading to Wayland for their tournament.
