So ... this just happened:
My daughter noticed a butterfly with a broken wing on one of our vests, and of course she wanted to save it somehow. Thanks to Siri, I pulled up wikihow and learned that butterfly wings aren’t painful, when they break, but that since it prevents flight ... death is surely to follow a broken wing. But, the good news, splints are possible tools to put the butterfly back into flight and therefore save its life! Wanting to win the admiration of my daughter, I set up for a solution. The butterfly was calm and willing to move where I needed, when I needed ... the end result: a butterfly back out in the wild woods of the Cartier park campground! A very cool experience!

Friday Night Live in Ludington has come and gone, but we had a great time spreading the word about life vest safety ... and our rentals, of course! Thank you to everyone who came out, we enjoyed meeting so many new faces and encouraging new paddlers. Looking forward to seeing you out on the water!
