NorthStar Fitness At NorthStar Fitness it is our mission to provide a variety of classes lead by passionate coaches.

The totality of fitness, this is not a program designed to target specific areas instead we try to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. The intention is to increase your physical competence in each of the ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. Our

Approach is not the isolation exercises and extended aerobic sessions of old, instead we focus on compound or functional movements executed at a high intensity over varying duration's. The evidence supporting this type of training is irrefutable and the results are startling. This program is designed to state-of-the-art training techniques used in universities and elite camps to the general public. Your needs and an Olympic athlete's needs differ only in degree, not kind. Increased power, strength, cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, flexibility, stamina, coordination, agility, and balance are each important to the world's best athletes and to our grandparents. We focus on improving these areas through thorough instruction and incremental load assignment (we are not going to have grandma squat as much as the Navy Seal next to her). All of our members are considered athletes preparing for the game that is life and like all athletes, experience benefits of a stronger immune system, increased bone density, less coronary heart disease, reduced cancer risk, fewer strokes and less depression than non-athletes.
