πŸš— Traffic & Parking Information for Ludington Gus Macker Weekend in partnership with the Ludington Gus Macker and the Ludington Police Department.

Please review the color-coded map and key before arriving to help make your trip into the tournament area as smooth as possible.

πŸ”΅ Blue Path: Parking

To access the main paid parking area as well as the side streets around there (for free side street parking), follow US 10, towards Downtown Ludington, as it transitions into Ludington Avenue. Turn right onto N. Washington Avenue (is exactly a half mile west of Corewell Health Hospital), then take a right onto Tinkham Avenue (is just over a half mile north of the intersection of Ludington Ave. and N. Washington Ave.). Continue to the intersection of Ga***rd Avenue and Tinkham Avenue (is .80 tenths of a mile from the intersection of Tinkham Ave and N. Washington) )where a parking attendant will verify your pre-purchased parking pass and provide your parking credential.

Additional attendants will help direct you to the closest available parking spaces within walking distance of the Gus Macker courts inside the paid parking area.

A limited amount of handicap parking is available within the paid parking area. Additional handicap parking is available using the Silver Path shown on the map.

If you have not already purchased a parking pass, a limited number of passes may be available for purchase, subject to availability.

To the south of Tinkham is side street parking areas, as well as certain closed off and coned off "no parking and restricted areas*.

🩷 Pink Path: Team Check-In (Registration)

Follow the same route as the Blue Path. But, continue past Tinkham Avenue, going north till you reach Bryant Road (this is one mile from the intersection of Ludington Ave and N. Washington Ave.) and turn right. Proceed to Ludington Elementary School (this is .79 tenths of a mile from the intersection of N. Washington Ave. and Bryant Rd.) and enter through the main entrance. Team Check-In (Registration) will take place in the school cafeteria.

Additional Team Check-In information is available at LudingtonMacker.com.

🟒 Green Path: State Park

Follow the same route as the Pink Path to Bryant Road. Instead of turning left towards the elementary school/registration, turn left onto Bryant Road and continue west until it ends at N. Lakeshore Drive (this is exactly 1 mile from the intersection of Bryant Rd. and N. Washington Ave.).

At N. Lakeshore Drive, all traffic must turn right. Left turns will not be permitted at the Bryant Road and N. Lakeshore Drive intersection. Continue north on N. Lakeshore Drive to access Ludington State Park (which is about 5.3 miles from the intersection of Bryant Rd. and N. Lakeshore Dr.).

βšͺ Silver Path: Handicap Parking & Downtown Ludington

Visitors utilizing the handicap parking area or traveling to downtown Ludington should continue west on US 10/Ludington Avenue toward downtown.

At the west end of Ludington Avenue, turn right into the west-side parking lot adjacent to the Ludington Area JCI Mini-Golf facility (this is normally an exit only). An attendant will be available to assist with handicap parking access and check-in procedures. Verification handicap license plate or window hang is required.

There are no paid parking areas other than the handicap parking area along this silver path and ALL TRAFFIC THAT DESIRED TO PARK ON THE SIDE STREETS, SHOULD TAKE THE BLUE PATH ABOVE, UNTIL THEY REACH THE PAID PARKING OR FREE SIDE STREET ACCESS AREAS.

πŸ“ Please be sure to click through all three images included with this post. In addition to the color-coded traffic map, we've included two additional zoomed-in maps showing the area immediately surrounding the Gus Macker courts, including road closures, as well as a detailed view of the paid parking area and traffic flow patterns.

πŸš— Parking Reminder: Please remember that these spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are also used by area residents and visitors throughout the weekend.

🚫 Do Not Park at the Loomis Street Boat Launch (see southern area map). Vehicles parked in the boat launch area without proper authorization may be ticketed. (This is not a designated Gus Macker parking area). In many cases, those fines are more expensive than purchasing a weekend parking pass.

🏠 Please do not park in private business parking lots, block driveways, alleyways, or access points used by residents and local businesses. We ask everyone to be respectful of the neighbors and community partners who help make this event possible.

❀️ More than 76% of this year's participants are 19 years old and younger (with more than 58% being 14 and under). While the basketball action happens on the courts, creating a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment extends throughout the entire community.

Thank you for helping us make the 2026 Ludington Gus Macker a great experience for everyone.

πŸš— PARKING PASSES ARE NOW AVAILABLE! πŸš—

If you're heading to the Ludington Gus Macker on June 20 and 21, you can now reserve your parking spot in advance.

Parking passes are:
βœ… $25 per day
βœ… $40 for the entire weekend

Even better, 50% of every parking pass sold will be donated to one of our local school groups, helping support students right here in our community.

Handicap parking will once again be available on both the north and south ends of the tournament footprint. Simply display your handicap license plate or window placard when arriving.

The designated parking areas will remain the same as last year, extending from Ga***rd Avenue to Lakeshore Drive, and along Lakeshore Drive from West Fitch Street north to Bryant Road. An additional Handicap parking area will be on the west-side of the Ludington Area Jaycees (JCI) mini golf course.

Very important, there is no parking in the boat launch parking lot and in fact, we have been informed that there will be enforced ticketing and towing this year.

To help ensure residents can access their homes and visitors can safely enjoy the event, multiple side streets will be closed throughout tournament weekend. This traffic and parking plan was organized by Captain Haveman and the Ludington Police Department, and proved to be very successful during last year's tournament.

We encourage everyone to reserve early. The closest parking areas are expected to fill quickly as we get closer to the largest Gus Macker tournament in the country.

Overview maps are located on our website, under the parking tab.

Reserve your parking pass today at:
🌐 ludingtonmacker.com and click on "parking".

πŸ€ 2026 Ludington Gus Macker Registration Update! πŸ€

In past years, we've only extended registration by a few days. This year is a little different. With the introduction of our new Team Up feature, we're working hard every day to match players with teams and teams with players. We also know it's been a cool, unpredictable spring and that it finally feels like summer has arrived. β˜€οΈπŸŒŠ

Because of that, registration will remain open until June 8th, unless we fill sooner. ⚠️ We strongly encourage you not to wait until the extended deadline. Once registration closes (even early), we will not be able to accommodate any last minute "I forgot to register" requests.

While we don't normally extend registration much beyond our original deadline, this has been a unique year. Please keep in mind that registration could close before June 8th if available spots fill. ⏰ If you're planning to play, don't wait.

πŸ€ Register today at LudingtonMacker.com πŸ€

There's a reason the Ludington Gus Macker continues to be the largest Gus Macker tournament in the country. People simply love Ludington. From the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline and downtown atmosphere to the incredible local shops, restaurants, and welcoming community, it's more than a basketball tournament, it's a weekend destination that players and families look forward to year after year.

And it's not just those who live in the area that play in Macker, 10% of the 350+ cities live in Ludington and that does not include the other wonderful surrounding communities like Manistee, Scottville, Hart, Pentwater and others. Whether you visit and make it a summer destination or walk from home to the courts, we're excited for you to part of the action.

Plus, the timing couldn't be better this year. The State Park is back open, campsites are filling quickly, hotels still have rooms available, Air BNB's are plentiful in the area, and there's nothing quite like feeling that Lake Michigan breeze while driving to the basket or pulling up for a shot.

We can't wait for you to be part of this year's Ludington Gus Macker, just like West Shore Bank is as our title sponsor, or Fresh Coast Foam, Republic Services and Meijer are as part of our Dream Court action celebrating the kids playing with an announcer and other fun activities.

If you still need to lock in your team you can do so here: ludingtonmacker.com and a special thank you to MichiganExplorer236 and his twins for capturing last year's tournament from the air, with some amazing drone footage. Be sure to check out his YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com// for more great videos from around Michigan, and don't forget to hit that subscribe button while you're there!

Celebrate with us for the 250th Anniversary of the US, the official start of summer on with the Summer Solstice and of course the 34th year of the Ludington Gus Macker.
