The 10U Connell girls team wrapped up their season with an exciting matchup against Woodmore.
Your Eastwood Eagles came out fired up for their final match! The first quarter was a hard-fought stalemate, with both teams battling evenly up and down the field.
Woodmore struck first in the second quarter, finding the net twice to take the lead. But the Eagles answered right back! Olivia Francis delivered a beautiful pass to Eileen Wittman, who finished it off with a goal to put Eastwood on the board. At halftime, the Eagles trailed 2-1.
Coming out strong in the third quarter, the Eagles turned up the intensity—and Eileen struck again, finding the back of the net to tie the game at 2-2!
Heading into the final quarter, the coaches reminded the girls how strong they’ve been all season in the fourth—and how much they believed in them. The Eagles kept the pressure on, but Woodmore’s goalie made it tough to break through.
Then, in the final minute… the moment of the game! Milly Wilcox slid a shot just under the goalie’s outstretched arm, sneaking it across the line for the go-ahead goal—securing an incredible 3-2 victory for Eastwood!
The girls will lace up one last time for a fun Parents vs. Kids game on Monday, followed by a team cookout to celebrate the fun season.

Molly Wilcox: 16 goals, 4 assists
Eileen Wittman: 7 goals, 1 assist
Adalyn Beck: 3 goals

Shayla Teel, Makenzie Wiseman, Elisa Nusser: Countless saves and defensive stops!

This young team showed incredible growth over the past two months. Both coaches couldn’t be prouder of their effort, determination, and heart. These girls never gave up—fighting until the final whistle all season long.

U8 had a last minute additional game. Parents vs Kids. All of them were ready to play this game right after school was out.

Well this one went to the parents in a highly competitive game 2-1. With Ryder, Sofia, and Ryan scoring the goals.

After a great season of fun and development we had 1 final Eagle family break.

Thanks for all the parents getting their sons to practices and games. You all have amazing sons with bright bright futures in whatever they do.

Eastwood Reichert 8u boys had our final spring 2026 home game tonight against Eastwood Panning. The boys played with heart, grit, and laser like focus.

The final whistle marked a 2-0 loss for this eagle team.

We can’t thank the boys enough for their hard work and dedication this spring. We were definitely playing our best in May.

Kaden R, Mateo D and Jonah V were our all around players. Any spot I put them in, they played the position at a high level. Offense, Defense, and even goalie.

Kallen S, Cameron L, and Logan M were my rising rookies. They improved every game and would apply what we worked on in practice in games.

Jack B, Ethan R, Xayden K all have bright futures. They worked and improved so much during the season. It was great to see each one of improve like you did.

I wanted to thank all the extra kids that ended up practicing with us so we could improve and do different practice drills. Thank you Jiraiya, Maddi, Grayson, Everett, Alana, and Ryder. You helped us so much.

I want to thank the boys parents for getting them to all the games and practices. This was a fun group to coach.

Finally, Thank you Coach Miguel B. for coaching with me. It was great having your patience and positivity on the sidelines.

2-6 on the season.

The 10U Connell team faced off against the Lake Flyers in their 9th game of the season, and it was a hard-fought matchup from start to finish.
Lake came out strong, showcasing impressive skills and firing off several shots on goal. Elisa Nusser stood tall in net, making save after save to keep the Eagles in the game.
The pressure continued into the second quarter, with Eastwood’s defenders working hard to clear the ball. Unfortunately, a long shot slipped through and found the back of the net, putting Lake ahead 1–0 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Lake’s top players continued their offensive push, adding two more goals to extend their lead.
But the Eagles didn’t back down. In the fourth quarter, Eastwood showed incredible grit and determination, turning up the pressure. Their effort paid off when Molly Wilcox seized an opportunity and fired in a quick shot to get Eastwood on the scoreboard. The late goal gave Lake a bit of a scare, but they managed to hold on until the final whistle.
Final score: Eastwood 1 – Lake 3.
So proud of the way this team competed and never gave up! A special shoutout to Elisa Nusser and Shayla Teel for their outstanding effort in goal.

The 8U Meuleman girls finished up their season on Saturday with a 3-0 loss to Bellevue. The girls made great progress over the course of the season and had started to understand the basics of spacing, positioning, passing and shooting. They were a great group to coach!

The U12 finished their season tonight with a 1-0 win against Maumee.

Jessie Sherman scored with an assist from Braelynn Linke. Jessie Sherman won the sportsmanship bracelet.

Eastwood Reichert 8u boys had a home game Friday night against a very skilled and organized Otsego. The boys worked well together and held them scoreless for the first 2.5 quarters.

The final whistle marked a 3-0 loss for our eagles.

Logan M was in goal during the 1st qtr. He stopped 3 Otsego shots. Helping hold Otsego scoreless on defense was Cameron L, Jonah V, and Mateo D.

Kaden R was in goal during the 2nd qtr. He stopped 2 sure goals via kick save. Helping keep the game deadlocked with Otsego at 0 was Jonah V, Cameron L and Kallen S on defense. It was especially cool to see teammates on the field high fiving each other after some great clearances of the ball.

Continuing to give great effort and making in game adjustments are Ethan R, Xayden K, and Jackson B.

2-5 on the season. Next game is Wednesday vs Eastwood Panning.

The 9U Select Girls earned a big 4-0 win over Bryan today in a game that showed just how much this team is coming together.
The teamwork was on full display all game long with great passing, communication, and players constantly supporting each other across the field.

One of the best parts of the day was seeing several players try brand new positions and step outside their comfort zones for the team.A complete team win for the Eagles🦅⚽️

Goals for the Eagles came from Maddie Bowlus, Brookie Mundrick, and 2 for Charlotte Gerwin.

Our awesome goalies had a shutout today: Charlotte Gerwin, Maddie Bowlus, Kylan Wolf, and Kensley Cotterman
