Decades have passed, but I can still remember taking this photo as if it were yesterday. It was a cold and muddy morning at Buck's clinic in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Buck was warming up Tuba, a Thoroughbred who could be a bit spicy. I was snapping away with my camera as Buck loped through the mud, and I had a feeling I was getting some great shots. But when I got home and went through them, this one took my breath away. It's the perfect fit for this article, which is as timeless and relevant today as it was when it was first published in Eclectic Horseman Magazine. Enjoy!
