A couple of small changes can change your whole week.

Add in some exercise snacks to get a little extra movement in your day. This can be something as small as parking a few extra spaces away when you get to work or go to the grocery store to get a few more steps. Watch how they add up over time.

When you make these intentional changes, you’re telling yourself that you are capable of doing what needs to be done. You’re building confidence with every step that you take.

Distractions and hiccups in your routine are not going to destroy your progress or make you slide backwards, but they will if you don’t realize they are happening.

If you have a rough day or couple of days, that’s okay! We all do sometimes.

What’s important is that you don’t let that rough day turn into a rough month or year because then you really have problems.

Get back into your routine and healthy habits as soon as possible and it’ll all be okay.

The best way to make sure you actually get back on track is to have someone in your corner that cares about your goals and sees when you get distracted.

I turned 8 years old this week!

When I started personal training back in 2018, I never thought it would turn out like this.

It started as a hobby, and with my love for fitness, but has blossomed into something that I could have never predicted and I am so grateful for everyone that has made this possible.

Because of my incredible clients, I get to wake up every day and share my love of health and fitness with others. You all have been there for so many life events, and we have sweat together and grown together.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the amazing memories, moments, laughs, and push back on why we have to do that stupid exercise you hate.

The list could go on and on for all the ways you have changed my life, but I’ll keep it to 8 for this year.

It feels amazing to be able to make a positive impact on so many people over the years and I’m looking forward to what the next 8 years will bring!

I am incredibly proud of this group of clients today!

About seven weeks ago, we set out with a goal: train for and tackle the Joyful Ventures 5k. Today, everyone absolutely rocked it!

For some, this was their first-ever 5k. For others, it was the perfect challenge to get back into running. Seeing the dedication over the last two months has been amazing, and the momentum isn’t stopping here. A few are already setting their sights on a 10k or a half marathon next!

I’m beyond excited to partner with Joyful Ventures again this year for their 7th Annual 5k & Family Joy Walk on May 17th in Lubbock, TX! 🏃‍♂️💨

Joyful Ventures is a non-profit dedicated to raising money and awareness for breast cancer and Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH). 100% of the 5k registration proceeds go directly to this incredible cause, supporting individuals and families affected by these life-changing diagnoses.

But we’re taking it a step further…

When working with my clients, I often find that they are unsure of how to quickly look at a nutrition label and make an informed decision about the foods they are eating. I made a quick 5 step guide to gather the basics of the food label.

In addition to these 5 steps, it's also important to note the saturated fat and protein content for the things you're choosing to buy in the store.

In general, we want to limit our saturated fat content because this is the type of fat that can cause things like increased abdominal fat and cholesterol.

Protein is important because this is what helps us build and retain lean muscle that you're working so hard for in the gym. On average, we should be consuming at least 90-100 grams of per day from various sources.

Every time you take a short break that turns into several months—or even several years—you slow yourself down.

Imagine what you could accomplish by dedicating just 15-30 minutes a day to your health.

✨ You would be unstoppable. ✨
