directions : from 95/turnpike take northlake blvd west to seminole pratt road
(if you are coming across SR80 take seminole pratt road north untill it ends (it will turn dirt)
from the intersection of northlake blvd and seminole pratt
travel north 3 miles , the road will turn to dirt after one mile
at 3 miles on your left is the entrance to J.W. Corbett, con
tinue through corbett gate, generally there is no ranger and fee is paid by a unattended envelope kiosk , however
"persons through-hiking on the Florida Trail and persons exempt from the management area permit requirement, are exempt from this permit requirement for recreational uses other than hunting." so no obligation. if you feel like paying the fee becuase you loved the park, maybe do it on your way out so as not to bottleneck the entrance
bear to the right and follow another .5 miles along the wooden fence by the boyscout camp
at 0.5 mile inside the park you will come to a split in the road, follow to the right following arrows for the EYCC and hungryland boardwalk
0.2 miles past the split in the road there will be a small road on your left, right before the fance/gate for the everglades youth camp, leading to the trailhead and race start
if you are not there early this lot may fill up, at which point you can park on the shoulder along the fence
PLEASE BE SURE YOUR VEHICLE IS COMPLETLY OFF THE ROAD AND NOT BLOCKING ANYTHING thank you
