Nicholas is an Australian citizen and international Grand Prix competitor. In 2007, he first represented Australia and contributed to Team Gold at the 2007 Tri Nations Cup in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2018 Nicholas helped Australia make history by clinching their first team medal finish in the CDIO3* Nations Cup in Wellington, FL and claimed an individual bronze medal.

Nicholas is a 5 time member of the Australian Team at the Wellington Nations Cup CDIO and has qualified multiple horses for the World Young Horse Championships. As an instructor, Nicholas has coached riders to wins in international Grand Prix, and medals at the North American Young Rider Championships.

Nicholas is based out of Wellington, FL. He has trained extensively in Germany and the United States with some of the world's leading trainers including Ulla Salzgeber, Hubertus Schmidt, Catherine Haddad and Robert Dover.
