šŸ 525 Nationalā€™s Recap šŸ

What a long and stressful weekend.

ā€¢ Friday - Went to sign in and drew a 12 for qualifying. I was the very first car on the track for qualifying and the track was very greasy, Didnā€™t do to good and qualified 10th in the first group which put me starting 6th in the heat race. Finished 6th in the heat race and they only took top 4.

ā€¢ Saturday- Made some adjustments before we got to the race track that we felt needed to be done. Started on the pole in LCQ and finished 2nd which put me starting 19th in the main. Got passed some cars in the first couple laps of the main and got caught into an incident with some other cars and never came to a stop, just done a 360 and kept going and they sent me to the rear. Got passed the same cars again and was doing pretty good and then got into a lap car and damaged my nose but I kept going. 3 laps to go, people up front got into it which caused the leader to spin, and I didnā€™t see it coming and I had no where to go which caused me to hit him. Got the car checked to make sure everything was okay and raced the last 3 laps. Overall finished 9th.

We will get the car all fixed up and live and learn from this race and go on to the next.

Yesterday didnā€™t quite go in our favor but it happens! We will start outside pole in the first LCQ race and they take top 4.

They have pushed drivers meeting back to 7:00pm with racing to start shortly after.

Not the night we wanted, but we will take it.
Finished 6th in the heat race, they took top 4 from each heat. Have to run the LCQ race tomorrow and they take top 4 from each LCQ and we will start outside pole.

Went out very first for qualifying while the track was still tacky and qualified 10th. With the top 8 Dash, We will start 6th in the first heat.

We didnā€™t get drawn for the quick race tonight so after heats we will be done for the night and on to tomorrow!

They have updated the schedule a little bit. Instead of doing heats tomorrow they have moved it to today. So the new schedule looks like:

We are here at practice and ready to go! As this weekend goes by, there will be updates of everything necessary + lives! Itā€™s going to be a full, fun and busy weekend, but we were born ready!

Race schedule updatešŸšØ

The past couple times weā€™ve planned to race, itā€™s gotten rained out, sadly. So weā€™ve had some months off from racing and we are ready to be back!! With that being said, here is an updated schedule for the rest of the race season.

ā€¢ September 11th-12th : Harris Speedway (525 Nationals)
ā€¢ October 2nd-3rd : Carolina Speedway (KOC)

If there are any schedule updates, we will post it here. Other than that, we will see you guys this weekend at Harris Speedway with the BLUE RIDGE Outlaw Late Models for the 525 Nationals!

Race Recap

Went out for practice and was pretty good, I was faster than all the karts in my class. Went out for the heat race (video below), fell back a couple spots then made my way back up. Put me starting outside front row of the main, we prepped the tires too soft and ended up finishing 2nd for the night! Overall a pretty good night for my first time in a kart!

Race Day šŸ

After having over a month off, its race day and itā€™s looking a little different today šŸ‘€šŸ‘€

I will be piloting Joey Toneyā€™s go kart today at East Lincoln Motor Speedway. There wonā€™t be updates like there would be with regular raceā€™s since this is a little different.

I also wanna thank Nick Walker for getting me in contact with Joey and giving me this opportunity!

Now, Since I have taken over a month off to have vacations, spend time with family/ friends and there really hasnā€™t been any races for me here recently. Who has recommendations for the BLR team?
