Attention all baseball players born in 2007-2011 and living in the Valley, Westmoreland section of Kiski, and Burrell school districts. The Bulldogs are having a light open practice this Saturday for any players interested in competing with us this summer. The practice will be from 10-12 at No Offseason Sports in Russellton. The 2 hour session will cost $10 per player. See you there!

The Bulldogs come out victorious after the first game at regionals. Colton Whitlock secures the victory from the mound after pitching a complete game in only 58 pitches. Ryan Bates, the game winning run, drove in by line drive to right field by Adam Scheftic in the 6th inning. Tomorrow, the Bulldogs will face Latrobe yet again at 2pm.

Lower Burrell Post 868 Bulldogs 18U Claim Victory Over Hurricanes

Lower Burrell Post 868 Bulldogs 18U were triumphant over Hurricanes 4-1 on Saturday.

Lower Burrell Post 868 Bulldogs 18U got on the board in the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run.

Owen Tedrow singled to center field, which helped Hurricanes tie the game at one in the top of the third.

In the bottom of the sixth, Lower Burrell Post 868 Bulldogs 18U broke up the tie when Adam Scheftic singled, scoring one run. Then an error followed to extend the lead to 4-1.

Colton Whitlock earned the win for Lower Burrell Post 868 Bulldogs 18U. The hurler surrendered four hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out three and walking none. Ty Decker took the loss for Hurricanes. The lefty went six innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits, striking out seven and walking none.

Adam Scheftic and Dominick Hand were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Lower Burrell Post 868 Bulldogs 18U while hitting back-to-back. Adam Scheftic led Lower Burrell Post 868 Bulldogs 18U with one run batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Lower Burrell Post 868 Bulldogs 18U turned one double play in the game.

Owen Horne, Kaden Emerick, Owen Tedrow, and Jonah Topper each collected one hit for Hurricanes.

Your Burrell Bulldogs face the Bedford Hurricanes Saturday, July 19th at 2pm. Bulldogs are the home team. Games played at regionals will be at Forest Hills high school outside of Johnstown, PA. Admission is $5. The tourney is an 8 team, double elimination format with the winner playing for the state title next week in Erie. Follow along on game changer....
