That's a wrap on our summer workouts. 🏀

While most people were sleeping in, these girls kept showing up. Day after day. Rep after rep. Sweat, laughter, sore legs, and countless memories made along the way.

Summer workouts aren't just about becoming better basketball players. They're about learning commitment, building trust, pushing through hard things, and spending time with teammates who become lifelong friends.

For our seniors especially... soak it all in. One day you'll look back and realize these early mornings, this gym, and these teammates were some of the best moments of your life. You don't get these days back.

Proud of every player who chose to put in the work this summer. The foundation has been built. Now it's time to see where it takes us.

Nobody cares. Work harder. 🚀💙💛

Proud of the girls who continue to show up, put in the work, and hold themselves to a higher standard.

Summer workouts are voluntary, but improvement isn't accidental.

The players who make the biggest jumps between seasons are usually the ones who are here when nobody is keeping score.

Keep stacking days, ladies. 🚀 🏀💪

🏀 ALL-STAR ANNOUNCEMENT 🏀

Congratulations to Gianna Palumbo from Lowellville on being selected to represent their school at the YSN Basketball All-Star Game & Skills Challenge presented by Home Team and Window Depot.

This recognition highlights an outstanding season of hard work, leadership, and impact on the court. Earning a spot among the region’s top talent is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of dedication to the game.

🏀 MVAC All-Star Classic 🏀

A great night representing our program at the MVAC All-Star Classic!

Giuliana Alfano, our lone senior, had the opportunity to take the floor one more time in the All-Star Game, competing alongside some of the best players in the Mahoning Valley. We’re proud of everything she’s given to our program and the way she represented us. Good luck in all of your endeavors. Once a Rocket always a Rocket.

And in the 3-Point Contest, Gianna Palumbo showed exactly why she’s nicknamed the sniper. 🎯
Gianna got hot and knocked down 18 three-pointers to win the MVAC 3-Point Championship, putting on an impressive shooting display.

We’re proud of both of these athletes for representing our program and continuing to raise the standard.

🏀🚀 Lowellville basketball continues to shine as two Lady Rockets earn All NEO Inland District honors.🚀🏀

The Lowellville Lady Rockets are proud to celebrate two outstanding players who have been recognized with All NEO Inland District Honorable Mention for their tremendous seasons!

🔥 Gianna Palumbo – Junior Shooting Guard
Gianna proved to be one of the team’s most dangerous offensive threats and a true leader on the court. A team captain known for her shooting ability and scoring touch, she averaged 12.7 points, 6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.7 steals per game this season. Her consistent scoring and competitive drive helped lead the Rockets throughout the year. Gianna was also named First Team All-MVAC Scarlet Division.

⭐ Sydney Procick – Junior Point Guard
Sydney was the ultimate Swiss Army knife for the Lady Rockets this year, impacting the game in every possible way. A team captain and floor leader, she filled the stat sheet night after night, averaging 10.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. Her ability to score, distribute, defend, and control the game made her one of the most complete players in the league. Sydney’s outstanding season also earned her First Team All-MVAC Scarlet Division honors.

These two juniors set the tone for the Lady Rockets with their leadership, work ethic, and competitive spirit, and we couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments.

🚀 Congratulations to Malena Sturm on earning Honorable Mention All-MVAC Scarlet Division honors.

As a freshman, Malena embraced one of the toughest roles on the team — guarding some of the best players in the conference. 💪🚀 Night after night, she took the challenge head-on.

She’s a defensive specialist with a relentless motor. She competes, pressures, disrupts, and never backs down. Her energy changes the tempo of the game and sets the tone for our defense.

To earn all-conference recognition in that role — as a freshman — speaks volumes about her toughness and commitment.
