Golds. Finals. Go time!

Huge shout out to our swimmers who showed up in force last week to the Landshark race. Spencer crushed the swim/run once again. Christina got second in the 1.2 mile. Kaelyn and Julianne took first and second in the half mile. Coach Matt even dropped some time from last year’s 2.4 mile swim. Go Aces!

Huge weekend at B-Champs last week with Kendall and Luke representing Aces Aquatics!

Kendall destroyed the team record that she’s been working so hard to beat. The 12u girls’ 50 breaststroke record was a 39.03 and she went a 37.06 in trials and a 36.87 in finals for second place overall!

Luke’s also been working really hard. His work paid off with a 3 second drop in both his events. He went a 1:29.33 in his 100 IM, and a 31.68 in his 50 free to take first overall.

Happy coach! Aces started the 2023 Silvers Championships off with a bang! Kaelyn dropped 9 seconds to set a 13/14 team record in the 400 IM. Shay dropped 17 seconds in the 500.

In one week Aces will be back at the Sterling YMCA for our Silvers Championships. Two weeks ago we had some crazy fast races at this pool. Can’t wait to make it happen again!

She didn't start swimming until about her sixth decade, but at 100, Maurine Kornfeld of Los Angeles is still setting records and brightening the world around her.
