Way to go Hazel!

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Hazel Garner
After 13 years in the Lowell School District, Hazel Garner is graduating with a legacy of laughter, leadership, and lots of volleyball and basketball. A dedicated athlete and ASB Activities Director, Hazel has spent her high school years making memories that will last a lifetime — especially through her favorite place: the court.
“All the best memories I’ve made were through sports,” she says with pride.
Among her biggest supporters was Ms. Miller, Hazel’s favorite teacher, who made a lasting impact in the classroom.
“I learned a lot from her. She challenged me and helped me grow.”
Hazel says she’ll especially miss the underclassmen she’s bonded with through sports, many of whom she’s helped guide and inspire along the way.
Of course, not every moment was serious. When asked about the funniest thing that happened during high school, Hazel doesn’t hesitate:
“Blowing up the staff bathroom and making Ms. B mad.”
(If you know, you know.)
Her advice to the next generation of Red Devils is simple and straight to the point:
“Do your work.”
After graduation, Hazel plans to attend Lane Community College and enroll in their Dental Hygiene Program, with the goal of becoming a Dental Hygienist — a career she’s excited to pursue.
Before she closes this chapter, Hazel gives a heartfelt shoutout to her closest friends and teammates:
“Marley Plahn, Jade Clark, Henley Garner, Maddy Thurman, McKenna McComas, and all my other teammates — thank you for being part of this amazing journey.”
With her strong drive, hilarious sense of humor, and love for her community, Hazel is ready to take on the future — one smile at a time.

Nice job Cheyanne!

Senior Spotlight: Cheyanne McNamee
After four memorable years in the Lowell School District, Cheyanne McNamee is preparing to turn the page to an exciting new chapter—one that’s shaped by athletics, ambition, and strong support from family and friends.
Cheyanne was a three-sport athlete during her time at Lowell, participating in volleyball, basketball, and softball, all while also being a dedicated member of the choir. It’s no surprise, then, that her favorite memories revolve around sports.
“My best memory at Lowell was the sports—the home and away games, and getting to bond with my teammates,” she says.
Her competitive spirit and team camaraderie defined her high school experience.
“I’ll miss sports the most—it was the biggest part of high school for me.”
When it comes to teachers, Mr. Yarbrough stands out as a favorite.
“I really enjoyed his class. I could joke around but still get things done. I’ve learned so many life lessons from him—it wasn’t just about the subject, it was about growing up too.”
Cheyanne offers wise advice to future students:
“Buckle down your freshman year. It’ll be the hardest, but it sets the tone for the rest of high school. If you lock in and do your work, you’ll be in a great spot.”
Looking ahead, Cheyanne plans to attend Western Oregon University, where she will pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Her ultimate goal is to become a labor and delivery nurse—a career she’s passionate about and excited to begin.
As she reflects on her high school journey, Cheyanne doesn’t forget the people who helped her along the way.
“I want to shout out my close friends for making senior year so fun, my teachers for pushing me to do my best, my mom for encouraging me to stay on top of my grades, and my grandparents for showing up to all of my games and supporting me.”
From the court to the classroom, Cheyanne’s drive, leadership, and positive outlook have left a lasting impression on Lowell—and now she’s ready to take those strengths into the future.

Nice job Gracie!

After 9 years in the Lowell School District, Gracie Aldinger is closing out her high school journey with spirit, leadership, and laughter. She’s made a name for herself through basketball, softball, and her role as ASB President — always bringing her energy, heart, and humor wherever she goes.
Some of her favorite memories come from the simple joy of goofing off on sports bus rides, where friendships were forged, and lifelong memories were made.
“Traveling to games and messing around on the bus with my teammates — those moments meant everything.”
Gracie credits much of her high school experience to the support of her favorite teachers, especially Mrs. B, Coach Todd, and Mr. Yarbrough.
“Mrs. B is always there to listen and comfort me. And Coach Todd and Yarb — they’re always making me laugh and keeping me grounded.”
When asked who she’ll miss the most, Gracie’s answer is heartfelt:
“I’ll miss the friendships I’ve made through sports, and the teachers who’ve always had my back.”
Of course, high school wouldn’t be high school without some funny moments — like the time she accidentally walked into the staff bathroom after her friend ‘blew it up.’
“Yeah... definitely unforgettable.”
To the underclassmen following in her footsteps, she offers this advice:
“Don’t procrastinate but also take time for your mental health. Don’t stress too much — balance is everything.”
Looking ahead, Gracie plans to attend Lane Community College to earn her business degree, with her sights set on a future in real estate.
“It’s a path that really excites me — I’m ready to build something meaningful.”
Before she moves on, Gracie wants to give one last shoutout:
“Thank you to Jade Clark, Marley Plahn, Maddy Thurman, and all the amazing underclassmen I built friendships with. You made my time at Lowell unforgettable.”
With her leadership, drive, and sense of humor, there’s no doubt that Gracie’s next chapter will be just as bold and bright as she is.
