Fenris Kunst Des Fechtens FKDF Liechtenauer German fencing school tradition. Jake Priddy has been studying swords and swordplay for over 30 years.

First formed as Body & Blade Swordsmanship in 1998, FKDF has since been an active part of the historical European martial arts (HEMA) community, focusing on the 15th c. In 1998, he was first exposed to historical medieval combat techniques through the The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) under Rudy Cooper and Association for Renaissance Martial Arts (ARMA) under John Clements, researching 15

-16th century Kunst des Fechtens, and incorporating them into the Body & Blade curriculum. In 2012, Jake joined the Historical European Martial Arts Association (HEMAA) as a lifetime member, and enrolled in the graduate program at George Washington University. He earned his Master's Degree in Medieval History in 2014, and began teaching KDF workshops at various HEMA events. In 2015, he earned his Instructor Certification from the HEMAA, and joined the xKDF HEMA network.

It is with great respect as well as remorse that we mark the passing of a HEMA giant, Michael Edelson.
We hope in some small way to honor a man who dedicated no small part of his time, knowledge, and experience to improving and pushing forward our understanding of our Art.
