It’s been a fun month at Hawks Nest. The long-range class was a hit, and the company has acquired a few more goodies for the armory. In particular suppressors. Lots of suppressors.

Navigating the post Aug 13 injunction has been challenging, and informative. Two suppressors acquired pre Aug 13 were form 4’d from me individually to one trust, that process took three (3) days, one of which was a Saturday, via eForms

Additional suppressors will be picked up this week via 4473, the transfer to trust following will be interesting.

It’s not simply buying cool things, as my friend Logan has suggested: “Capital reinvestment in emerging regulatory compliance capabilities.”

I have now completed multiple suppressor transactions through Virginia Citizens Armory, and the experience has been outstanding.

What really distinguishes VCA is the level of personalized service. You are dealing directly with Chris, the owner, who is extremely knowledgeable about NFA/SOT matters and makes the entire process remarkably straightforward. Communication is excellent, transactions are handled quickly and efficiently, and there is simply no unnecessary drama.

My most recent purchases included a SilencerCo Scythe Ti and a Rugged Obsidian 9, and both transactions were handled exceptionally well from beginning to end.

If you are in Northern Virginia and looking for an FFL/SOT—particularly for suppressors and other NFA items—I highly recommend Virginia Citizens Armory. Knowledgeable, responsive, personalized service from someone who knows exactly what he is doing.
