Lovettsville Dolphins

Lovettsville Dolphins Lovettsville and Waterford's community swim team. We are part of the Old Dominion Swim League and our home pool is the Lovettsville Community Center.

The objective of the Lovettsville Dolphins Swim Team is to provide a safe, educational, and fun aquatic experience for children in our community of all ages from pre-school to teen. The Dolphins are a strong Team program with approximately 200 swimmers from families living in Lovettsville, Waterford, and the surrounding area.

Congratulations to our All-Star swimmers for competing yesterday in the AS Meet! 🏆 Many Lovettsville Dolphins made it to the podium yesterday. We’re proud of each one of you and your accomplishments!

Special thanks to Laraine’s mom, Michelle McIntyre for making the All Star swimmers, her famous homemade sticky buns. They were delicious! 🍴Our very own Alexis House sang the National Anthem for the meet! 🎤🎹 And Alicia Monarch made all of the All-Star swimmer kick-boards ⭐️

🎓💙 Senior Spotlight: Malcolm Fuller 💙🎓

Today we're celebrating Malcolm Fuller and his incredible journey with the Lovettsville Dolphins!

Malcolm first joined the Dolphins in 2016, and one of his favorite memories from those early years is playing wall ball during swim meets. After a brief hiatus, he returned to the team in 2021 and quickly became a leader both in and out of the pool.

For the 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons, Malcolm served as a Junior Coach, helping encourage and mentor our younger swimmers. He also competed all four years as a member of the Woodgrove High School Swim Team.

This fall, Malcolm will attend James Madison University, where he plans to study Psychology and continue his love of swimming as a member of the JMU Club Swim Team.

💜 Congratulations, Malcolm! We are so proud of all you've accomplished and can't wait to see what the future holds. We know you'll do amazing things at JMU and beyond!

Our End of the Season party was last night after the conclusion of our awards. We dined on yummy Rasco NY Pizza, ice cream from Mr. Hershey, and swam with our swim team buddies! 🎉🐬 End of Season Awards Ceremony 🐬🎉

What an incredible season it has been for the Lovettsville Dolphins! Last night, we celebrated the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our amazing swimmers at our End of Season Awards Ceremony. 💙🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Every swimmer was honored with a participation medal in recognition of their effort, commitment, and team spirit throughout the season. We’re so proud of each and every one of you!

🏅 In addition to participation medals, we recognized several standout swimmers with special awards:

✨ High Point Award – awarded to the top point scorers in each age group, by gender
✨ Dedication Award
✨ Coach’s Award
✨ Most Improved

Billy and Kim Davis presented the Sophie Davis “All In” Scholarship Award. This award was created by Billy and Kim Davis, named after their daughter Sophia Davis, who still holds many of the female swim records for the Lovettsville Dolphins and ODSL.

The scholarship is to a student athlete whom has athletic and academic excellence. The scholarship is presented to a Lovettsville Dolphin- High School Junior or Senior, which meets the criteria for the award. The award consists of a plaque and $1,000.00 scholarship.

Thank you to the Davis family for coming to present this prestigious award.

DIVISIONALS 🌺🏆🏅 We swam against Franklin Park, Ida Lee, Hartland, and Stratford. We saw many personal bests, improved times, and even swimmers that qualified for All Stars today! Way to go 🐬💦swimmers! You left it all in the pool today! We can’t wait to celebrate all of you tomorrow at our End of Season party! 🏆🏅
