Congratulations to the Aquanuts! They are the newly crowned champions of the 2022 Indmar Division 1 National Water Ski Show Championships.
The top 3 teams were ever so close in points. Only 5 points separated the first to third place finishers. What a competition it was!

Mad City Ski Team - 2nd Place
Rock Aqua Jays - 3rd Place

Link to the webcast of the Indmar Division 1 National Water Ski Show Championship on Friday, Aug12th thru Sunday, Aug 14th. Individuals start at 8am on Friday.
Team competition starts at 7:30am set up on Saturday and Sunday.

D1 Restaurant Guide

Team supporters within 10 minutes of Shorewood Park.
Nunzios: Steak & Italian, full menu and everything is good, reservations recommended (815-633-5000).
Prairie Street Brewhouse: Extensive beer list, full menu, inside/outside seating on the river, reservations recommended (815-277-9427).
Tad's on the Rock: Bar & Grill, very casual, deck on river is good if it's nice out but nothing special inside, smoking on deck is allowed so take that as you will (good for smokers, maybe not great for non-smokers)
Backyard Grill & Bar: Full American menu, relaxed atmosphere, reservations recommended (815-636-9430).

Another option closeby is The Olympic Tavern which has an extensive beer list, full menu, seating inside or out, reliably good, reservations recommended (815-962-8758). Two more we like in Loves Park are Alvarez and Hope & Anchor.

More downtown Rockford too but I can't promise we'll have time to get that list together ...Woodfire Pizza, Vintage 501, Omakase (sushi), Sisters Thai, Magpie, Abreo, Norwegian, Capri.

Fast food option close to Shorewood is Beef A Roo for those who like their cheddar fries, they now also offer cheese curds.

Out on East Riverside, there's Aero Ale House, Fozzy's Bar and Grille, GreenFire Restaurant.

If you like vegan style with an assortment of craft beers a short drive north to Rt 173 is Pig Minds Brewery

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should wait! DI Individuals and Teams, your paperwork is due on OR BEFORE 11:59 pm, Tuesday, August 9th. https://www.teamusa.org/.../show-skiing/d1-nationals-forms
Especially those that do not need to send a pass list, like all teams, freestyle jumpers, and team jump teams why not "get er done" now and take one more thing off your plate?
