Two (2) great classes tonight at Northern Colorado American Kenpo Karate working on Kenpo Karate.

First up was Josh Price continuing his review of blue belt material. He has been consistently working on this material for a while now. We worked on all 24 techniques in blue belt as well as Striking Set 1, Finger Set 1, and Long Form 2. We also threw in content for combinations for stick sparring. We are getting close to preparing to test for his next rank.

Second class taught tonight was with Joe Sava, as we work through NCAKK white belt material. Joe continues to make huge strides and is well on his way toward his yellow belt.

1) Private lessons start up again Wednesday.

Alert!! We are starting stick fighting training classes on Thursday evenings at 6pm starting 9/16. Open to all individuals, NCAKK students and non NCAKK students to participate. Cost is $20 per session. We are at the beginning of preparing for a possible competition in November 2026 in California. Awaiting word regarding details from the organizers.

Great evening yesterday working with 4-time world champion Tarrah Ellingson Hall and up and coming fighter Kel Morales. We focused on getting back to basics in stick fighting with solid footwork and some basic drills and skills. Slowly, but methodically, rebuilding and initiating new people into live stick fighting training. Great job to all!!!

Great class today with Josh Price and Steve Hall getting in practice for there respective kenpo belt levels. Josh continues honing his blue belt material and is nearing the point of testing. Steve just started (again) and is excited to restart his kenpo journey.

Fantastic day at NCAKK! Jonathon tested for his orange belt today. It was a grueling test not just physically but also questioned about content in yellow belt. He also had an opportunity to showcase some optional material and did an amazing job. His dedication and discipline to kenpo and to the auxiliary content to provide some additional "roundedness" was on full display. A well earned orange belt was awarded after about 75 minutes of testing. Congratulations Jonathon -- onward and upward into the orange belt NCAKK curriculum!

With the NCAKK team returning to the USA, kenpo classes are back in swing once again. Great class with Jonathon today reviewing yellow belt material for mastery as he gets closer to preparing for orange belt.
