It’s the end of an era…the Knuckleheadz team has officially played our last game.
Some of us have played together more than half of our lives. It’s hard to believe we won’t be together anymore.
Hotel pool hangouts in Kansas, night wiffle ball on replica fields in Branson, meeting MLB players at spring training in Arizona, College World Series game in Omaha and a million more memories were made the past 8+ years.
We won some games, lost some games. Players came, some went and a lot stayed. We had coaches that continued to develop us and prepare us for the next chapters in our baseball careers. Thank you Coach Raul & Coach Blaine for keeping this team together all these years, it’s something to be proud of. Because of you we were able to play with our brothers for as long as possible. We are the players we are because of the years you invested in us.
Most of us are heading to different high schools. Next time we see each other on the field it will be as opponents, but for us it will be a sweet reunion with our life long friends.
Baseball was far more than a game to us, it was the best parts of our childhoods.
Once a Knucklehead always a Knucklehead.
