This weekend, don't miss the Rising Tide Hapkido Halloween Party! We have had such a blast teaching spooky-themed martial arts moves and enjoying games and activities together in the past, we cannot wait to do it again. This event is for everyone – current students, friends and family, anyone who is interested in martial arts and likes Halloween! No previous experience needed.

Event is free for current students and $5 for non-students.

A lot of fights end up on the ground, but so do a lot of celebrations! Learn safe falls and ground defenses, and celebrate moving up the ranks with us!

A huge shout-out to our martial arts families! Martial artists need communities – we wouldn't be able to do it without the caregivers that learn to tie their children's belts, family members that come to cheer at belt ceremonies, parents that help us set up our equipment, grandparents that take photos of their grandchildren, and siblings who hold focus mitts for each other.

At Rising Tide, we are lucky to have many families who are also on the mat TOGETHER – parents and kids, siblings, in-laws, and more. It is a special experience to train with the ones you love (and try to decimate them in a game of belt drill).

Enjoying special lessons on hubud and trapping from our special guest, Sensei Rick Shaw (the sensei of the Rising Tide instructors). It is always fun to learn new styles and concepts – the many joys of practicing a martial arts blend!

In addition to our physical lesson, we were also able to exercise the mind by learning snippets about the history and concepts related to our hapkido blend, kali, silat, hubud, and more. We are once again reminded of the importance of emptying your cup and coming together as a community.

Rising Tide is extremely grateful to Northern Colorado Performing Arts for the opportunity to assist in choreographing their fight scenes for the Percy Jackson Musical. Looking forward to future collaborations with local businesses!
